Why killzone 2 is gorgeous! And its multiplayer!

Gears of War 2 looks amazing as well but I am sorry, this can't be beat.

There is one without a helemt or hat and aslo, at the bottome, one is turning invisible and he doesn't look like your regular helghast.

We may not know if Killzone 2 is gonna have great gameplay yet,but we definately know it will have the best graphics when released.killab2oo5

To be honest... from all the gameplay I have seen of the campaign i am really impressed. But yea gotta wait. I know for sure tho that the gun firing on the game is so good and satisfying. Just watching it i get goosebumps.

I think you shouldnt be. I think this game looks like its going to be a ton of fun. Regardless of what score it gets. Just the graphics adds a whole new level to gameplay. That addition is going to seperate this fps from every other fps. I have a feeling the mp is going to better than the single player.

Looks awesome. Just hope there aren't turrets everywhere :P

You've seen the trailers right? It doesn't seem like anything special...just a lot of cool-looking scripted events, a lot like the orginal Killzone.

Think of it like this, in Halo 3, the most awesome things that happen aren't scripted.

But I gotta admit, those graphics are excellent.

Just what I was thinking, and that sixth picture!? I don't know what was going on with that Helghast but they sure know how to make them look evil!

That's true, all scriptedvevents take place it seems like, but the rag-doll looks like fun. Halo 3 had a lot of really epic moments that were scripted too, but the fun came out when you did something epic in that epic moment...ya know what I mean.

In terms of textures both are arounbd the same, though i would say KZ2 is better.

what akes KZ2 stand out though is the use of amazing animations, death animations, explosions, superior lighting and all those other things that make the game much better from a technical standpoint.

The thing with gears is that apart from better textures and more colour, not much has changes, KZ2 beats it in lighting, animation and just about everything else. Its more immersive. Motion blur gives makes you look like you are going faster and adds to the atmosphere, its all done right.

Its not just all about textures, its everything else.

The videos i've seen overuse the motion blur to the point you dont get to take a close look at it in full motion

Yeah it does use a lot of motion blur. But those lighting effects seem to make up for it...or cover up more low-res textures.

I have seen some high-res textures in the game though. Character models look gorgeous, animations are spot on and really fluid, gun recoil is realistic enough.

The videos i've seen overuse the motion blur to the point you dont get to take a close look at it in full motion

seemed fine to me.

The only thing is when i watched an early video it was like that, plus the video stuttered so it looked worse.

So I used a better site and it looked really good. Motion blur really adds to the atmosphere, without it i think the game would lose what makes it so atmospheric and unique.

Its just the art style they have chosen, its not there to hide anything, this game looks great there is nothing to hide!

Actually, it has more detailed rendering than Gears by far. The polished shiny visuals in Gears are art-based and as a result the interaction with the environment and character models is minimal.

they dont say that thats the release date, they dont give evidence, they just say they think it will be ready around that time. So yeah, bogus.

I've never heard of WhatIfGaming before now. And their article stands in direct contradiction to the preview that was just posted on PSN. If the game were delayed, they would have said so.

So you'll understand if I wait for confirmation on the co-op thing.

i'm just slightly pissed its about 7 months away this game.... luckily seeing the footage from E3 for Resistance2 took away the frustration for such a long wait for KZ2.... Actually the more I see on Resistance2 the more i appreciate the improvements Insomniac did visually... its good to be a PS3 owner, so many games to look forward too :)
