Because Sony fans keep telling us how the price cut/Lair/new model/Ratchet/Uncharted/etc. are going to push sales past the 360. And every time, it keeps not happening. I swear, you can't pay people to humiliate themselves like this - and Sony fans do it for free!lowe0

So MS sells around 300k more units than the PS3 in November in USA. How much does the PS3 outsold the X360 in Europe and Japan? I bet It might even be more than 300k units, so I don't know why so many lemmings are happy hearing Nov NPD. Just in japan every week the PS3 outsells the x360 for 55k (at least) so 4 weeks (sometimes 5) is 220k. The Wii and DS in another hand are really selling beyond the PS3 and X360.kentaro22

So basically PS3 would have to outsell the x360 by over 160,000 units in Europe? Well, keep dreaming Cows. Sony had a price cut in every region, big exclusive game and new, fancy commercials on television even advertising MGS4 and GT5 - and they still couldn't do it.

I don't know. 360 should have sold more this month with Halo just being released.

I suppose they're assuming all cows believed that PS3 would outsell the 360 this month...despite having no major system seller yet.

Overall the XBox 360 is still outselling the PS3. I wouldn't go by what VGCharts figures say. They are constantly changing their numbers up and down. Because of that, I'm doubtful that their figures are truly accurate.

The PS3 outsells the XBox 360 in Japan by around 30K and in the U.K it's around 40-50K. The XBox 360 outsells the PS3 in the U.S. around 100-120K. So it's easily making up the difference.

I'm expecting M$ will do another price drop within the 1st half of 2008. Hopefully they'll do it in Europe first so they can claim more market share from the competition, but we'll see.

At least PS3 sales are increasing. X360 sales have been going down. They sold 10 million their first year and can't even break 5 million worldwide their second year worldwide. That's probably why lemmings get so happy when they see X360 doing well.EmperorSupreme

Why are people still getting this wrong. M$ did not sell 10 million units it's first year. it SHIPPED 10 million units. It actually sold just over 7 million units it's first year and is on track to to break 8 million for their 2nd year. The PS3 sold just over 6 million it's first year and should easily sell over 7 million for it 2nd year.

i disproved that in that other thread but it seems i must do it again. i used the website he provided me:

"alright i used that website and found out that your statement is completely untrue. in november (11/5 - 12/2) i found that the ps3 outsold the 360 by about 150,000 units. but when you go back to october (10/1 - 11/4) the ps3 only outsold the 360 by about 45,000 units. as you can see, your estimate of "at least 220k each month" is completely wrong."

that's funny because most weeks the ps3 doesn't even sell 50k. in fact you can count probably count the number of weeks it's sold over 50k on 1 hand.
