You still talking about gddr5 but as you look at the roadmaps ahead gddr5 is not even mention but Esram is. When MS updates every month and the ps4 don't what you fanboys say ......well MS is a software company that's what they do.....well why you think DX12 which is Software won't improve the xbox1? You know this power talk is coming to an end and you know it the ps4 is not as powerful as people think.

Gddr5 is always gonna be a problem for the cpu

It takes 200+gb of bw to saturate 12 cu fully ps4 got 18 cu with 140gb of bw for the total system lol

I tell you what go pop in a game on the ps4 and leave it in the background then go to your browser and open 4 tabs and tell me what the ps4 says lol it take power to play a game , snap, and have other things going on something my ps4 can't do.

Well don't be all sad about that gddr5. For system ram faster ram speed doesn't do anything above ddr3 because of latency. If they somehow managed to get the latency out of the gddr5 it still won't do much because memory bandwith can only go so far. It's pretty much the same with ram size.

What's the point having a lot of ram speed and a lot of ram if the bottleneck is with the cpu and then the gpu, which is exactly the case with these systems. Sony has a reputation for making unbalanced consoles, they did it with the ps3 and the ps4 has a bit of the same problem. So much memory bandwith is pretty much useless with such a weak cpu.

The shared gddr5 is good though, I mean using ddr3 for system ram would just have made things more complicated but the system would have a lot more performance if it had a better cpu. Then that memory bandwith would have really come in handy. Now it's just overkill.

As for the ddr3 on the gpu , that gddr5 will of course have more performance but that is countered by the esram and 256 bit bus (the gpu that is used in the xboxone normally has a 128 bit bus). Any reviewer that is comparing the ps4 with the xboxone says that the difference is comparable between a hd 7790 and hd 7850 and that is exactly what it is. That difference is really not that big, and microsoft aren't morons, the xboxone may be a bit more difficult to program for but it can come very close to the ps4 and that is already happening. Look at destiny for instance.

You expect someone to acknowledge inferiority? The xbone may have garbage hardware, but thus far that hasn't affected how its performed. If you want to look at the negatives MS sold you a useless webcam, that probably wont get any support now, and are still selling people an over priced under powered console. Its sales do reflect that though, so MS have a lot of work to do on convincing people their console its worth its asking price. Its in a similar position to the Wii in a way, but the X1 at least has 3rd party support.

It's a parity with dull atmosphere that runs at 30 fps. Of course it runs at 1080p, there is nothing moving.

Good video. Really illustrates why spending large quantities of money on a gaming PC really isn't necessary (unless one is using it as a workstation as well). I don't want a "budget" PC, but I'm going to be building on a tight budget, and knowing that RAM speed literally means nothing will help cut costs substantially.

RAM speed only matters if you are running things like Folding At Home.

If you're on a budget I can really advise you the gtx 750 ti. It only uses 60W so you can use a cheap but quality psu. I have a rm 550 corsair (which is gold rated psu) but I'm upgrading soon.

The 750 ti is comparable to a hd 7850. It's also nice since it's nvidia , it supports physx on the same card, so you don't need another card to do physx.

As for the cpu, i would go intel , i picked up my i5-3470 for a measely 90$ second handed.

It hasn't been necessary for a long time, but for some reason the idea still persists to this day.

You could build a $600 PC that beats the consoles, or an $800 PC that would destroy consoles. That's a very easy thing to do especially today when the consoles are packing 2-4 year old hardware.

And if you need a new PC anyways then why not just strap it to a GPU, and make it gaming ready? That's a big savings over a console already and it gives you a PC that's better than any PC you've ever used, and a better gaming experience too. Rather than going with a cheaply made laptop, and "1080p" with black bars and 30fps gaming performance for a higher price.

If you're looking to spend less money on gaming then a PC is the way to go nowadays. That way you aren't locked into spend $50 a year to play online games, or $15 to expand your games with DLC, or spending a $10-$20 premium on new games, and the sale prices are always better.

now it can go away for gaming and just be used for the medical uses and whatnot.

X1 , even name , is a "casual" product to catch up Wiis audience by having this super casual appeal and motion controls while being powerful enough to handle multiplatforms. Thats was the plan and thats why this name , XBOX ONE ... One system for all.

And thats where it went wrong ... Because casuals showed their middle finger to Wii U and by then was toooo late to turn back and cancel X1 ... It was already on production mode more or less and deals was done with AMD etc ... So they crossed their fingers and released X1 ... and we all know what happened ...

Thats what i think MS tried to do and they failed so hard. Its not the best casual console ( wii U is by far ) , its not the best hardcore console ( PS4 is by far ) .. Its somewhere in between and now without kinect ... how the hell to compete with the better product which is PS4 where its so behind on hardware ...
