Apparently 360 version has less screen tears and better frame rates.
Beside, not everyone check reviews. Some people will just choose the 360 version because they always thought 360 had better multiplat or only has 360.
Personnaly I pity those who do not play it on PC, whether it's PS3 or 360 isn't too important.
This. X360 version performs better, which for many people is more important than prettier graphics. Overall, PC is the way to go =PApparently 360 version has less screen tears and better frame rates.

RavenLoud
both are decent. i ave the ps3 version, framerate may not be perfect but graphics are quite good although some say that they suck (they do not, they are just not awesome) , while the xbox has obviously less appealing graphics but better framarate. it doesn t matter, this game just rocks youe socks off!
I'm not sure but I've heard that the few issues with the 360 version were fixed with the update that happened when the game was released. When Gamespot reviewed it these updates weren't in place yet. Supposedly now it is just as good if not better than the PS3 version.
I rented the PS3 version because I hadn't planned on buying DA because I wasn't a Mass Effect fan, and thought it would play similar. The PS3 version has some frame rate issues at certain parts of the game, some seemed quite laggy. So when I decided to buy a copy I grabbed the 360 version. The 360 version plays smoother, that much I know. They look about the same to me, and I prefer the 360 controller.
Of course it could just be that most games usually sell better on the 360 than the PS3.
if you really want to ask this question I have another one for you. Why do gamers want to play dragon age on the 360 or PS3 as opposed to the PC?

Maybe because they don't have a good gaming PC.
Also, better framerates are more important in gameplay than better graphics.
C'mon now, this is 2009, not 2007.360 owners are gamers and PS3 owners are movie watchers?
xX-Incubus-Xx
That argument won't even float here in SW anymore.
Also, keep in mind the user base of each system.
Well the way I see it
Everyone who owns a PS3 owns a high end PC rig capable of playing any "console exclusive" the 360 has at several times the resolution and fps (bassed on my analytical observations from system wars)
Where as people who own a 360 only own a 360 (based again of analytical system wars observations)
Therefore the only people playing this game will be on a 360 or PC, by sony fanboy logic of course.
Gamespot is the only site i know of that claimed the PS3 version to be superior ...
It's not as clear cut as lets say... Fallout, or The Orange Box.
It was just Kevins opinion the PS3 version looked better, IGN for one claimed otherwise, and the GS screens comparison shown no difference.
I got it for 360, for the bonus ME content, however im looking to get it for the TREY this weekend, cause im seriously lacking trophies, and i enjoy playing the game.
I'm just guessing here so don't anyone scream at me (I know I'm System Wars.... >_>; ) But doesn't the 360 have a bigger install base along with gamers that originally bought the 360 for games like Dragon Age as opposed to the PS3 owners? Of course, DA was originally a PC only title, but I mean, Dragon Age is the kind of RPG that you'd expect for Xbox and so I think the fans are gathered more there, not to mention the bigger install base.
And I noticed that TC threw out the review scores on GS, but both 360 and PS3 versions have almost the exact same average score on Metacritic while the PC version has the highest score, if you really do think scores matter for anything I guess you should be playing it on the PC.
Wrong! It's not kevin opinion that the game looks better..It's fact. even eurogamer said Ps3 version looks better than the 360. IGN never said 360 version looks better than the Ps3 version. IGN only said the PS3 version have more frameates issued than the 360. they did not mention which graphically looks better...And the GS comparison did show a difference, many system users agree..people they want to see what they want disagrees though.Gamespot is the only site i know of that claimed the PS3 version to be superior ...

IGN QOUTE BELOW.
While I'd love to say that Dragon Age looks phenomenal, that isn't accurate on the PS3 and Xbox 360.The graphics aren't as crisp as they are on the PC, and character models can be rather hit or miss. General character animations can be a bit stiff, but the battle animations are pretty solid. There is a lot of screen tearing, and I wish that you could maneuver the camera perspective out of its locked position. While I can understand that a locked camera helps keep the focus on the battle and action, it would be useful to get a larger glimpse of the battlefield. Additionally, there are a number of framerate hitches, more so on the PS3 than the 360. It doesn't break gameplay, but with a game that runs for sixty to eighty hours, that starts to add up over time.

A. Looks are never fact.
B. I said, THAT I KNOW OF.
C. No where in that extract does it say the 360 version looks worse then the PS3's. It claims the 360 version is overall better, which is what this thread is about.
D. I don't rely on what system Wars tells me, having played them both, and using my own eyes, i have concluded then neither game looks spectacular, they both have low res textures.
Damage control, or opinion, Either way i don't care ...

No, 10 screenshots are ligher than the others. Manticores, Hermits, Cows will all agree with me. Majority of SW would disagree with me because that majority are full of Microsoft fanboys. Just be looking at your previous post, you usually derailed threads to Pro xbox 360. I'm glad admit you were wrong, Most people heredon't like to admit that they were or is wrong. Also, i like how you ignore the link i gave you? The default setting for the 360 version has less colour, granted. How does this mean the PS3 version is FAR better looking, exactly?
Both console versions look poor, the PC version looks better, but STILL rubbish.
If you call talking about the pros and cons of one version to another, derailing a thread talking about why one would chose one version over another then ... that's exactly what im doing bro.

I didn't ignore your link, i didn't even notice your link because it was the same coloring as your other text, ill check out your link thoughEdit -- Okay, i just checked out your link, apparently - again - You derailed it from..Dragon Age 360 version is better than the ps3 version according to Ign to a - Most multiplatform games looks better on the 360 - Stop trying to derailed this thread to pro 360. If you wnat to talk about that most multiplatform looks better on the 360 then make a thread about it..ugh..nameless blog, trying to get some hints? I bought it for the 360...because I don't have a PS3.
But hey I got the ME2 armour.
SpinoRaptor24
Same here.
And why aren't the cows getting DAO on the higher scoring PC version? I mean, they ALL do have PCs equiped with HD5970 cards according to every 360 vs PS3 library debate. Right? ;)
Its actually a really good question - owning both PS3/360 my gut feeling was to go for the 360.... Yes I've seen the comparison screenshots and the PS3 wins in graphics.... Because my PS3 was collecting a lot of dust I decided to buy fallout3 (PS3 version) and I hated it...... (I like RPG/Oblivion etc) .... but it was the controls, it just didn't feel right, so this time around I felt like getting the 360 version just for the controller and I'm glad I did. I'm loving dragon age on the 360!! The graphics are not that bad actually, they certainly are not better than oblivion. Dragon age is soo epic and engrossing that the graphical quality doesn't effect me much at all, I'm too interested in the story and playing. They way I look at it.... if the game has a loooong campaign.... I need to use a controller I am most comfortable with. Its a personal choice.Ps3 has better graphic & has higher score than xbox360 here on gamespot, but why i still found many people play it on the xbox360 over Ps3 ??
-ScorpionKing
The framerate of the PS3 version is so bad at times that it becomes distracting, i wish i bought the PC or 360 version.
360 owners are gamers and PS3 owners are movie watchers?

I do agree with this sentiment though I'm a gamer on a PS3. I have never watched a blu-ray move on my PS3. I just don't see the point inbuyingmovies. I just watch them oncable which Ialready pay an arm an a leg.Wish there were more of us.
Im not getting framerate issues on the ps3, after reading people talk about it, I was regretting pre-ordering it for ps3, but it runs quite good. Certainly better than mass effect runs on 360.
Anyway Im sure both versions are pretty equal.
