Please tell me some reason how come more people prefers NDS?

imo the reason ds is winning in sales is because the ds is like the wii it has a small percentage of quality game and a mountain of shovelware which apeals to the masses
for instance ds has few new supermario, zelda, castlevania and has more imagine babies, kitten corner, my little baby, imagine reporter
the nintendo ds also has a pen so kids can pretend they are in school and dribble words and pictures
basically ds is a toy for kids while psp is meant for gamers in general.
I have apsp and am enjoying God of War, CoO, Medal of Honor Heroes, GTA Chinatown Wars, Final Fantasy Tac Tics, Little Big Planet, Gran Turismo.

You keep telling yourself the DS has less games. One quick look at Metacritic ratings, or Gamespots ratings, shows otherwise.
Of course Metacritic and Gamespot might not exist in your fantasy world, so who knows.

You seem to ignore how the DS is leading in AAAE titles. It's popular among gamers and casual players because it has some truly amazing titles. Plus, 2 of the PSP games you mentioned are also on the DS (if we include FF Tactics, which has the superior game on the DS). And the PSP may be pretty, but if the DS titles still out-review PSP ones, then the graphics don't matter much now do they?

I've got to say that reviews (written by adults) say otherwise. The DS has more higher rated games than the PSP. That is a fact.
DS >> PSP
Why?? Better games
kozzy1234
I know why, because NDS has a touch screen from playing games.
Games that can use touch screen
E.g Cooking Mama, Nintendogs, Mario hoops 3 on 3, etc.

I never said DS has less games far pass that they have way way more games which 80% is shovelware.

How does shovelware's existance make good games bad? The World Ends With You doesn't become bad because it's next to World Fashion Designer on store shelves...
And if that game gets AAAE with its "1997" graphics (though you clearly did NOT own a handheld sytem back then if that's what you think), then graphics don't make any difference at all either. Your points are, well, pointless.
Games, plain and simple. GAMING handhelds are for GAMES, not multimedia, or web surfing, etc etc. The DS's library completely annihilates the PSPs library, or lack thereof. Also most handhelds games are 2D so the graphics argument is a moot point, specially when the few 3D games control terribly because of the lack of proper input(analog sticks) on the PSP, while on the DS FPS control like a dream thanks to the touchpad. nintendog66
lol no psp is not only for media and movies
the ds library is full of shovelware whether you want to admit it or not yes it has alot of good games I give it that but the graphics make most games that are not mario or zelda unplayable (have you checked out the call of duty games on ds ?) I tried to play CoD on ds and my eyes hurt, it's that bad (nintendo needs to get with the time)
at least sony has moved handheld graphics upward instead of putting a pen and double screen on the gameboy advance.

Ok, so that leaves a few hundred games. Good to know.
Also, tell Sony we're not in 2000 anymore because we aren't. It's 2010, and if Nintendo needs good graphics so does the PSP because those pics you posted are atrocious compared to what FPS games I've played in the last 10 years.

That is atrocious. For a handheld, it's not. But neither are the DS's graphics. This is the first 3D handheld gen. It's okay to look like an N64 (an N64 was a video game system in the 1990's that was among the first to have 3D graphics). At this point I'm just assuming you know nothing about the evolution of gaming.[QUOTE="fightninja162"][QUOTE="nintendog66"]Games, plain and simple. It's worse than the PS2 so it really isn't anything to brag about. Also who wants to play a FPS with one analogue stick. It's a strictly worse experience than what you would get on a console or PC. (Hence the craptastic score)

Go in knowing what few games you're interested in and check Gamestop.com to see if your local store has the game (if you can't find the game through their in-site search then go on Google and try something like "Partners in Time Gamestop" and it'll come up with the game (some rarer or older games require this). Then enter your zip code and it will tell you if your local store has the game in stock. It has more games, more high quality games, and the games are designed to be for a portable system. The PSP is the red headed step child that just gets console ports that dont translate very onto a portable gaming machine.
I dont like either to be honest cause handheld gaming just isnt very practical or fun for me, but I understand why the DS is much more appealing.

:| I just can't see feeling like that. The PSP looks so horrible compared to anything current now that I wouldn't even consider graphics in a handheld purchase. The DS has more and better games optimized for handhelds, I think. I also think the hardware design is better. The clamshell design allows protection of the screen when not gaming. I also like the touchscreen.
Personally, I wish Sony copied the clamshell design instead of having the PSP Go's pseudo-cellphone-with-texting layout. The clamshell concept works with laptops and the PSP is even more suited to it than the DS considering the media features built into the PSP.
Edit:
When Nintendo adopted the clamshell layout for the Gameboy SP, there was a mad rush by people who wanted the thing. I remember buying 5 of those things for Christmas because my nephews and nieces all wanted one. Even kids know a good design when they see it.

Nintendo has always been conservative when it comes to their handhelds. They mostly do this to save battery power and release their handhelds at a lower pricepoint.
The formula has worked since the orginal Game Boy defeated the Lynx, Game Gear, Nomad, and Turbo Express back in the early 90's. All of those systems boasted superior specs over the Game Boy, but they lost because they could not match the Game Boy on two major factors. Price and battery life.
Why should they change a successful formula? They could have easily put PS2 level power into the DS, but that would have driven up the price and wrecked the battery life.
Once again, why should they change a formula that works?
And just in case you failed to notice, all systems suffer from shovelware.
I would bet that the PS1 and PS2 are just as bad as the DS when it comes to shovelware. Hell, even the PSP sees its share of shovelware...
As much as I like my PSP (and I do not own the DS currently - mine broke a year ago), I'd have to say the DS is a better handheld in every aspect but graphics. Fortunately, graphics are not a top priority when it comes to many gamers' minds.
That being said, I have a feeling that many people here thinks the PSP is a garbage without any decent or unique game. It does have decent games, just not as much as the DS.

Again, the idea of "PS2 type of games on the go" sounded so good on paper, but unfortunately, in reality, it didn't work out as well.
Most of the PS2 type games are designed for the PS2, ie, console type games, ie, games that takes more commintment, more time and more effort to get in, with control schemes that requires TWO control sticks (This part is important too!)!
Portable games are usually played in short bursts, ie, in between work, during lunch breaks, on car trips etc, and arn't design for extended sessions.
DS games are designed for on the go, designed for PORTABLE gaming experiences. PSP games, yes, some of them are really really good, but however, they are designed for CONSOLE experiences. After playing say, GTA: VC, or GTA III, then ging to GTA: LCS and VCS.....It seems a major case of "Been there, done that!" Yes, the games are good, but the thing is, after paying $50 for a game, then paying around 40-50 more for a portable games that basically gives you the same experiences, with (usually) busted control due to that one analogue nub, and games that gives you wrist problems in shor torder........well, I'd rather not!
