Why must we fight against eachother?

Why should the xbox and PS3 people fight? We are all united in one thing: we like to game. Why can we not just set aside our differences and get along? There is simply no point to this fighting, and we should fight against our one true enemy: THE WII.

No offence, I was about to give you creidt stating that there shouldnt be stupid fanboy wars, but when you stated 'The Wii' it's obvious that your just the same.

Because there is no point to fight against the Wii. You can't really compare the Wii to the PS3. There too completely different consoles and the PS3 wins every time anyway. :P

So therefore the PS3 and 360 people fight because both the consoles are pretty similar.

THIS. IS. SYSTEM WARS!

PS3 and 360 owners have more in common as they own similar systems with the same audience where as Wii owners differ completely, so if you are going to fight it should be against the people with different taste who are the sheep so I agree with you.

Because people feel the need to reassure themselves that they made the correct platform purchase, it's post purchase anxiety that relies on "owning" the competition in places like this for self reassurance.

I think you have the wrong board this is "System Wars" not "System Peace". Besides we are still human beings it is our nature to fight, to compete to win.

once we have the technology and evolve beyond archaic religions that poison our world and no longer serve any purpose, we will come together and explore space together only to find an alien race to argue and fight with, until then enjoy your SW.

Agreed why not get the best of both worlds:D

I actually like SW when people are in intelligent arguments with one another, showing flaws in each other's arguments in a respectful way and just generally accept other people's views for what they like without resorting to name-calling or system bashing. But it rarely happens and most threads seem to start with

"Uncharted 2 has best console graphics evar 360 wishes they had that game lololololololol" (Yeah we get it, Uncharted 2 has amazing graphics, can we wait to actually play it before talking about it)

"Halo: Reach will blow away all other competition next year just WATCH!" (There is so little information on this I honestly dont know why people are bothering hyping it at this point other than Halo being in the title)

That won't be fair. It would turn the thing into a squash match in the favor of the Wii And PC. But who cares about fair, it would be fun to watch.
