consoles are just sooo easy nobody wants to actually make an EFFORT to play a game now do they? that's just ridiculous. PC might have many adavntages but then so does working twice as many hours a day. that's why CONSOLES are the choice for MOST. unless you consider a PC gamer a SIMS playercrunchUK
the point me and other PC gamers were making is that the effort needed is exagerated! for the majority of gamers who studied in high school level, learning how to purchase individual parts is very simple. I admit building isn't for everyone thats why you can get the supplier to put those individual parts together.some do it for free some do it for 30-50 NZ$.
[QUOTE="clone01"]its all about what you're looking for. hence a market of 3 consoles, 2 handhelds, and PC.paullywog
the handheld market makes sense. but console market not su much. I mean yes consoles were the leaders of gaming back in the old snes days. but ever since the vast adoption of pc's consoles just seem like a step back.
How many pc's in homes today are capable of running the newest games on any kind of good settings? Hardly any. The average HP at best buy would chug on the sims 2.I don't know. that depends on the avergae PC specs. which I have no way of finding out. I do know however that the PC gaming market isn't just about hardcore games and that theres quite a large market for online arcade games. for those casual gamers almost any PC would do. assuming it's witin the past 5 years of technology and assuming it at least has windows 98.
and as for good settings it's completely up to the gamer! if a gamer thinks he's casual and hardly spends anytime on mainstream gaming then he wouldn't bother buying expensive parts. but when he feels like having that experience it can be as easy as upgrading memory or Grahics. thats the beauty!
