First MW2:
Next Borderlands.
The future of PC gaming is peer2peer, less features, no mods.
I guess if you can't meet the superior platform in features, reduce the amount of features.

So, this automatically means that all other developers will follow right? You DO realise that you can easily show no love to Activision by not buying MW2. If all (or most...or even a big enough number) you PC gamers united in your community and boycotted MW2, then a change should happen. But, if MW2 still reaches a good amount of sales on PC, well then you have no one to blame but your own community.
Yes, because of one stupid game. The future of PC gaming is peer2peer, less features, no mods.

And this is going to help the PC version to be less pirated?

Once MW or another HUGE IP succeeds at this, others will follow. This is a fact.[QUOTE="2-10-08"]

And this is going to help the PC version to be less pirated?
Well, if anything it's going to make the PC version more pirated, and lose Activision more money. Of course, I get the sense 2-10-08's critical thinking skills aren't great if he believes PC gamers pirate all their games, and this move is a method to stop piracy.[QUOTE="Bebi_vegeta"][QUOTE="2-10-08"]

Why continue to try to please a dishonest userbase?
EvanTheGamer
I'm sure banned Xbox live user were very honnest.
Why continue to try to please a dishonest userbase?
EvanTheGamer
Because pirates will simply download the game for free, and play on cracked servers?
Because to continue to please that userbase, you don't have to go to any specific effort?
Because other userbases are similarly dishonest?
Because attempting to punish the actions of a few who probably wouldn't buy the game anyway only unjustifiably punishes honest customers?

Once MW or another HUGE IP succeeds at this, others will follow. This is a fact.Like I said, if they do succeed, you have no one to blame but your fellow PC users.

Since Activision is actively removing features, they aren't refusing to cater to whims, they're punishing. They could have done nothing new over COD4 and it wouldn't have been an issue.
Basically, every PC user who buys this game is a traitor, and should be burned at the stake?waffle57
More or less, yeah. Because every PC elitist is throwing a fit about it, and (forgive my n00bness if I'm wrong) MW2 goes against what traditional PC gaming is. (When it comes to the online FPS genre, of course.)

If the PC version sells.... A) you're all going to troll us relentlessly B) you're going to lecture us on the problem being that we all bought the game despite signing a bunch of petitions C) this will become habitual with game developers, meaning that multiplayer gaming will begin a steady decline It's not even that I'm throwing a fit about it. I'm educating console gamers who don't know what a dedi server is and what its advantages are, and I'm spreading the word to PC gamers. Most of us know this is ridiculous and uncalled for and simply learning about it should be enough to lose a few sales.[QUOTE="Legendaryscmt"]$60 for a 5-6hr campaign? Why not?
