360/Laptop combo suits me fine !

My desk top is too old and I decided some years ago to go the laptop route and do my gaming on the console.

I know PC gives so many options but for me these days I just don't want to mess around with them anymore like I use too - yep, I got lazy. ;)

SecretPolice

So turning on your pc, putting in a game, and clicking multiplayer is harder then using your 360 which consists of turning it on, putting in a game, and selecting multiplayer?

People have it in their minds that PCs take an engineering degree to operate.

Lol, I know its absolutely hilarious, I have been pc gaming since I was 6 (I am now 22) and I quit for a couple years to try consoles, and now I am back and it is still has easy as it was 3 years ago which was as easy as it was 16 years ago. I think the big corporations have just done and extremely good job of brainwashing casuals into thinking so, and those console gamers who consider themselves hardcore should really invest in the only machine that gives you as much as you put into it.

W.E. I'm twice you're age and gamed on PC's longer then you been alive - if it makes you feel good to think you're 1337 b/c you game on PC - you go boy !

Thats not it at all buddy. I was simply refuting the point you made that consoles are a lazy mans alternative. I was just suggesting that a pc takes no more effort then a console. No need to get hostile.

Nah- didnt mean to come down on you but with all this fakeboy crap going on with H3 getting the AAA; it's just been too damn frustrating to read all the bull that the thead is full of.

Sorry man - nothing personal, I promise ! :

Well, I will be the first to say that I can respect halo, I have played the first 2 and look forward to finishing the fight on the pc eventually. Although for MP I will probably stick with SC and CSS.

While TC is pretty much wrong I have to say pc gaming might be "the least expensive way to game" but it depends on where do you live.

Lil' example:

Here in Poland (if anyone knows where it is ;p) I can preorder CoD4 for my PC for as much as 30$, 70$ for x360 and 80$ for ps3 version. That also applies for other games like for example WiC or Bioshock (both cost 30$). Premium 360 is around 450$ and ps3 starter pack costs 800$.

So yeah I'd say pc wins in the long run...but I guess that doesn't work that way for most countries.

HDTV's cost a lot. You can get a comparable monitor for 1/10 the price. That really evens it out.

[QUOTE="wemhim"]No.....It's not, it's the most powerful, and open, and flexible. Hence why it's the most expensive, just like a Ferrari is more expensive than a VolksWagon. web966

Not if you already own a Ferrari if you get my meaning.

But I dont own a ferrari. So it is expensive. My PC can barely run Oregon Trail.

its funny because oregon trail has more depth than lair or geow.

you really compare it like that...WIC is an RTS....they dont need to run at a high framerate....in fact many pepole consider 15FPS, or 20FPS to be good enough to play an RTS smoothly.cobrax25

You are out of your flippin' mind if you believe that. RTS's needed a stable, and high framerate just as much as any other game. It's hard to click those units if they skip across the screen.

unlike in FPS's....having a relitivly low FPS in RTS's doesnt effect your gameplay performence at all...many RTS's cap the FPS to a very low #....C&C3 had it capped to as low as 30...because it really doesnt matter as much in an RTS.
