This is one thing i don't get from hermits, imo the amount of people that actually play games maxed out on PC is very few, most have to really lower it taking a big toll for the sake of frame rate and they end up with something like what the PS3 does and sometimes even worst.

Comparing screenshots is great. Yes a high end rig can obliterate the PS3/360 and if i was really really really rich PC would be my system of choice, actually if i was that rich i'd find better things to do :P anyway my point is, money matters on this things, ultimately graphics don't do much for fun (wii?) sure its awesome to have mind blowing graphics, but you can have as much or more fun on the PS360wii and that's what games are all about, HAVING FUN, not show off an ultra expensive rig to your friends and on the internet.

I have a 3 year old PC that I spent 600-700 USD on in 2007 and it still maxes most games out at 1680x1050.

But 2011 is the year that PC jumps even further ahead bridging the gap for next generation.

Although Crysis and Metro 2033 have already achieved this now we are getting RPGs up to date like The Witcher 2.

If I mention "video games" to X amount of people on the street, I guarantee you that the bulk of the responses would relate to console manufacturers.

A person that buys a system that can play games and nothing else and has a trophy/gamerscore system that displays to the world how much of a loser they are, or a person who buys something that can play games, do work, photoshop, talk to friends etc.

Just use Samsung's bezel free monitors. ATI worked with Samsung to develop bezel free monitors precisely for this reason.

As for the domination part, if you search around in System Wars you'll find tons of links with financial data, all of them showing that the PC is the largest gaming platform in the world in terms of people playing and total revenue. That sounds a lot like domination to me. If you're wondering why the gaming world seems to revolve around consoles even though they are dwarfed by the PC, see above, ie marketing.

Fair enough. I see where you are coming from, and you are right to an extent, but the biggest game releases are catered to the consoles. Often times the pc will get a superior port, however, it is still a port of essentially a console experience. When I more into pc gaming, circa 1998-2003, games like Rainbow Six--where the console version was extremely dummied down--was the norm. PC gaming, as a style of gaming, has been declining ever since, imo. It is part of the reason I'm not into it as much, anymore.

The only reason you think this way is because you live in America where for some reason Consoles are extremely popular.

Go to Europe and you will see that PCs are far more popular than consoles.

I am sorry but this whole multiscreen looks horrible. I love the idea of a super wide monitor like those but a single monitor. Its like playing through bars and its not a great trade off for seeing extra. Its awesome for multitasking but for gaming I think its a bit weak imo.

On a 3 monitor display you're really only going to be paying attention to the middle one. The 2 on the sides are just extra which is amazing.

You're getting the same exact thing from the middle screen and you get Extra. I don't see where the problem lies.

And like someone mentionned they're making bezel free monitors so if you reall care that much about the lines just buy those.
