1st reason: you can build one yourself, and therefore you can use quality parts which will reduce the likelyhood of breaking

2nd reason: best graphics. right now, PCs have the best graphics, and they will have WAY better graphics with the release of the G92

3rd reason: most games have free multiplayer while you need to pay for subscriptions in order to play games online

4th reason: there are more things you can do with a PC than play video games

If the info going around about the G92 GTS is true , its 2x the power of the current 8800 Ultra ... It will walk all over Crysis.

probably like £450 for the 9800gtx :(, but alot less for the gts version.

i may wait till the 2nd quarter of next year to get one , by then the price will have dropped and any bugs will most likely have been ironed out.

You can build a computer for $1000 that will max out Crysis if what the devs have said are true.

It was running badly on a demo system with 4 GB of RAm.. a QuadCore CPU.. and at least one 8800 GTX... The funny part is that the game wasn't on max... lol

omg thats damn cheap.

i doubt the difference between the gts and gtx will be that small though in fact i would be willing to bet that it will cost more than that.

you talking about this demo:

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/22195.html

the one where it runs absolutely fine, looks better than any other game shown to date and still has 3 months till release.

All on a a dual core e6600, 4gb of ram and a 8800gtx.

but a DX9 multiplayer demo ran fine when a french mag tested it, and that rig only had a 7800 series GPU.

I just got a 8800gts like 3 months ago and I'm kind of regretting it now, what with all the talk about the 9 series.I guesse it'll hold me over till sometime next yearwhen the prices of the 9 series cardsmight have come down.

Yea dont stress over it much, I only got mine about 3 months ago aswell, but I dont regret it :D (6800 GT before that) , you could always sell it , taking away over 50% of the cost of the 9800 :)

I prefer consoles. But it's my opinion just like this is your opinion on PC being the best

"CY: At E3, we were running on a [GeForce] 8800 video card and a dual-core Intel [CPU]with 4 gigabytes of RAM at very high settings. Not the highest, though! Most of the time, it was running smoothly."

First off you have no proof thats a quad, secondly you dont seem to realie the monitor sizes & Resoultion used at the E3 show? It wasnt your standard 1650 x 1050 like mine ... I wont be needing 4 GB RAM.

Cmon use your head.

Take it from someone who played both , C&C 3 on the 360 is not as good, Bioshock will be the same if you dont mod granted (Except graphic improvements) .

Halo 3 ... ok , but Hermits get it eventually.

Haze - PC aswell ....

Gears - FULL VERSION! :D PC.

UT3 - Best on PC anyone who cant admit this is just being a fanboy.

So where is 360's Crysis? , Where is 360's World of Warcraft (You cant deny the serious ownage position this game is in) , wheres the Hellgate:London? Where is the mother of all RTS games - Starcraft 2?

Oh your going to say mass effect right? Dragon Age .... where is it on the 360?

Its not so black and White now is it?

[QUOTE="Heil68"]Bioshock, C&C3, Halo3, soon Haze, UT3,,for $400..Why PC when you can 360? ;)Heil68

Its not so black and White now is it?

you missed the $400 part

Last time i checked my pc can do many many more things than play games,cd's and dvd's. :|

I have a sweet PC rig...I just play devils advocate like Meu2k7 does ;)

I soooo do not!!! :P .... ok I do :D

But to play the most hyped upcoming game you need to spend $1000... and that's only if your PC is good besides that... if not it's more like $2000.FlockofSpagheti
Sorry, but go educate yourself on computer part prices. I built my PC tower and all for around $1,300. So no, you don't need to spend $2,000

You can build a computer for $1000 that will max out Crysis if what the devs have said are true.

It was running badly on a demo system with 4 GB of RAm.. a QuadCore CPU.. and at least one 8800 GTX... The funny part is that the game wasn't on max... lol

Sorry, you are wrong. It said it was running on a dual core, not a quad. And it said a 8800, not a 8800GTX, you FAIL. There is more than one 8800. they could have been running it on the smallest 8800 for all you know. Not to mention it isn't the final build, so really, who cares.

5th reason: it can emulate most games from past consoles and it's constantly improving
