Well...that's sure were some compelling reasons to dismiss the game as terrible at this point of time, and I have not the faintest idea as to what you meant by "trying too hard"?

I have to somewhat agree. But the sequel is trying to change for the better, and that requires change. You may end up liking the change when the game is in your hands.

I don't care for the voice acting nor extra hair either, but seriously.. You seriously didn't like what you saw from the gameplay trailer? I'm "shocked".

infamous 2 looks terrible ??? actually its seems to have improved in everything..

naahh i think we just need a bit of time and more gameplay vids to get used to the new artist approach devs took... personally i like the changes and if the 1st vid is any indication the sequel will be very cinematic and probably have more memorable sections & action sequences compared to infamous1...

I agree with your first two points (well, except for the originality part, since Cole's old design wasn't exactly original).

Loved what I saw in the trailer, though.

The only thing I agree about is the voice acting! Horrible what they've done to Cole. Needs to be replaced - there is still enough time...

Saying Infamous 2 looks terrible is like saying Uncharted 2 is the worse game ever, in the end it just doesn't make sense.

was kinda underwhelm by the gameplay trailer to be honest(kinda like the e3 gameplay of killzone 3). didnt like the new look or the voice.

also, i dont get this 'scripted events' thing. i mean, every game has scripted events. of course in the release, not everyone will play just like that simply because the devs intended the trailer to be perfect with everything. who would get pumped with a trailer where Cole gets hit alot of times and dies, right? just like the Bad Company 2 gameplay trailers, this one is rehearsed.

as for the helicopter thing being 'artificial', i have no problem with that. it's not like every little thing in the game is going to be that way. and you guys played inFamous 1. you know the only 'scripted' or 'artificial' things were the mini-bosses and the bosses. and the story missions. it's still open-world in the sense that you can still do anything.

IMO, the original inFamous looked like a ripoff wannabe super hero--very very cookie cutter design. This game shows a lot more character. In fact, the original one didn't interest me because of its design aspects.

If you liked the first Infamous I don't see how you could think Infamous 2 looks bad. Cole looked about as generic as possible and the voice acting was pretty bad in that game as well. It did have a good story and great gameplay and I'm sure Infamous 2 will build upon those areas even more. These are usually the 2 biggest factors in a good game.

Sucker Punch is building upon them as well making the game look great and adding a bunch of new gameplay mechanics. I think it's too early to say the voice actor is bad as well. What have we heard him say other than maybe 4-5 lines from a trailer? We haven't heard much other than that so I will hold my judgement until its closer to release.

Oh really? I thought inFAMOUS 2 looked pretty darn beast; I'd have to agree on an account with you though - I dislike the new cole too. I'm sure Sucker Punch has there reasons.

I don't mind the character model change, or the voice actually. Gameplay looks awesome. I'll be buying this day one.

nah i disagree Cole's new design is great,the voice acting is good but not the best there is,in the end what matters is the gameplay and it looks like it's gonna be a major hit

I don't care much for the voice actor, but I'll likely soften up to it after I push hours into the game. The trailer looked really really good though.

I can understand why you could be annoyed by the new Cole but how can you not be somewhat impressed by the gameplay trailer. Yea, it's made up of scripted sequences but that's what makes the missions more entertaining and memorable. I'm sure inFamous 2 will still be fun to just mess around in the city.

I didn't like Infamous 1 that much, mostly because of the characters.

Wow lets all bash on a game that has not been released yet. You sir get a golden star for effort.

Besides the first one was not all that great anway.

Infamous 1 was pretty average besides the ending so I guess I don't mind suckerpunch trying to mix things up a bit.
