Why so much hate on Natal?

I thought it was bad for Forza, but I think the hate for Natal actually tops that. Why do you think there is so much hate for something that actually looks like its going to be good? Why wouldnt we want Natal to better our gaming experience?

Also, I believe Natal is due next Year, Holiday 2010. THey show me actual exclusive high quality software that wows me, consider me wowed.
Right now people are amped up on their own imaginations spouting words like :

Minority Report, Holodeck, Virtual Reality, and the Matrix. It's insane that we don't have any real Natal games that kick butt, yet people are so stoked.

Cause it's a complete rip-off of the Eye-Toy which was last gen. Also because it's Microsoft's way of trying to compete with Nintendo, which is stupid really.

If someone has to stand on their feet to play a game, they are doing it wrong.

the same reason people hate on the wii..

devs will use it to send out "innovative" crap to people who dont know any better

HONESTLY, i don't want to see games incorporate more motions then the ones i make with my hands on a controller, monition control is a gimmick altogether, you just cant beat a controller. Whats worse then motion control with a wand?, motion control with NO WAND(or wii mote).

Really take a look at the effect Wii Motion Plus is having...

Look at Tiger Woods. Beats the 360/PS3 versions despite poorer online play and lesser graphics. Obviously the controls may have played a big role in its superiority.

It takes new ways of playing too far.

It's getting all the hate from the hardcore gamers, who usually dislike motion controls (based on what I read on these forums). I guarantee you that if you show a demo of Natal to a casual audience, they will love it. When Natal launches, I'm guessing it will do pretty well (if MS is smart and starts to bundle 360's with it).

Personally i think its a terrible gimmick.

I was under the impression a lot of people hate motion controls in general.

Because it's SW, and SW hates the concept of motion controls. [just ask any sheep]

He might but i wouldn't. After buying a Wii it has really soured my perspective on motion control gaming...in all its forms.

Why so much love for it? I have to see a game on it that made say 'I really want to play that'. Everything else has been speculation.

I'm still seeing response delays that involve fast movement in the latest videos.

So all the PS3 fans that said keep waiting, keep waiting....look at what we have next year are completley wrong too....inculding yourself?

you ppl can say whatever you want, but Natal is gonna be huge. us gamers will be disappointed, maybe, but there are a lot of casual gamers out there who can't wait for it. Of course that will also increase the xbox 360's sales and there'll be a stiff competition between Nintendo and Ms for the final "winner". I'm glad, though, that Nintendo is finally focusing on quality games - look at the 2010 lineup -

Right.

Both are vaporware in my book. I'm more interested to see KZ2, R2 and some other games from Sony supporting keyboard and mouse as in UT III than in the wand/sphere/whatever. Promises, promises...

It's not just NATAL, it's the fact that motion controls haven't proven themselves in the past.
