So gaming wasnt fun before the wii"?springz300Yes it was, but the Wii has made the gamer get more into their games and feel more involved. The NES, Super Nes, N64, GC and now WIi are all great systems. Nintendo has always been the best. I think Microsoft has a great thing going too, but Nintendo is still the champ.
Thats cool, but it doesn't do me alot of good. I don't really care if the old couple across the street are having fun.whoisryanmack
Indeed. I'm not against it, but it doesn't mean much to my gaming.
Thats cool, but it doesn't do me alot of good. I don't really care if the old couple across the street are having fun, I'm really more concerned with myself. A side question....how long are sheep going to continue looking forward to the next mario, zelda and metroid? I mean really, make ninty work a little people. whoisryanmackI'm 29 and my wife is 28. I don't really think we're old yet.

But you get the point? Bringing in casualsand whatnot is all fine and good, but it doesn't matter to me. Probably much like how you feel about my opinion.

I enjoy indepth games on my own, but I also enjoy playing games with the old folks across the street. Old folks need company.

Very true. I wish they were into Gears though.

Funny, I've been playing Nintendo systems for a long time, but I don't recall
Tom Nook, Commander Pierce, and Colonel Windsor being there from the beginning.
are you quoting me in another thread? u must be asking for ownage. when did you start gaminG?
The Wii is awesome now it just needs be $200 and include two controller sets *ya right but hey it would be nice*. whitetiger3521
Now there's something I can agree with! Every N console has been $200 and the Wii should too. Also, if there's anything N bends you over on, it's those controllers. Way to pricey.
Im sick of sheep saying wii "made gaming fun again". S t f u.
When did gaming become NOT fun?
you can say it made it refreshing, "fun again" no, just no.
The wiimote is not even proven. It gets in the way of about 87% of wii games. Only thing backing sheep are the sales.
springz300
Comming form someone who quit gaming, and got back into it because of the DS and Wii, I have no problem saying "Wii made gaming fun again." That's my OPINION. Don't like it? Then S T F U.

Ya no joke Wiimote+Nunchuk=$60+tax is way too high if you ask me. Add in $20 for the classic and now were lookin at $80 just for controllers!!! Not even including buying wavebirds if you wanna play gamecube games if you dont have them.
But Nintendo does make pretty good profit on it. That's one thing Nintendo know's how to do well and that's actually making money on their systems and accesories.

The Wii is great for gamers with low standards. Its like the Network TV version of sitcoms. Lots of people watch them even though they are terrible.WheresMyChippy

Its also true. Wii appeals to the lowest common denominator, like sitcoms. I can stand to watch "King of Queens" or "That 70's Show" about as much as I can stand to play "Mario Party 8" or "Raymon Rabbids".

dont own a wii, own a 360. But one must say Nintendo has put out a great console. But being a tech geek I would have payed and additional $250 on the wii to have PS3 and 360 graphics.
But like I said they did there homework and made a great console at a great price, I wish them the best of luck.

No flaw whatsoever. Just like TV, movies, music, etc. There are the hardcore fanatics and the easily amused masses. Wii appeals to the masses the same way as overpriced Hollywood action films and crappy daily sitcoms. The Xbox 360 and PS3 more appeal to those who would order HBO or other premium services that cost extra.

Maybe if you bought a Wii, you'd have something else to do!

Can I ask what you would change/add to the game?Nothing. I would scrap them entirely at this point (actually about 10 years ago for most of them) and try to come up with something else. Yes, they bring you a new platform style, but guess who the star is...Mario!! Yes, they bring you a new shooter style, but guess who...Metriod! It just seems lame that all innovation in this company has to revolve around the same bunch of lame-o characters from the 80's.
At this point, I think change for the sake of change would be enough for Nintendo. Just anything else, I wanna see what else they can do. I think we would be pleasantly surprised, but Ninty won't even give that a thought!
Couldn't care less about non gamers. I'm only interested in what's fun for me.
Yeah, the Wiimote could be great but so far the system is nothing outstanding. I'm hoping Nintendo are trying to get top notch 3rd party support but I'm most excited about their games for the Wii.
They need to show me that they're trying to cater for all markets and that they're not simply happy with their sales, because I don't care if Nintendo are getting profits if it doesn't result in good games. Hopefully a very unique game with solid replay value comes along (I hope it's SSBB) but so far Nintendo haven't proven that the Wii is more "fun" than the other systems.

I dont watch sitcoms (or american comedy in large for that matter, other than some HBO programs, CYE FTW!!) and I dont watch big hollywood films but I love the Wii, theres your flaw.
Plus just because the masses like something doesnt mean its bad, it just means that it has something that appeals to a wider audience.

It's flawed because you're acting like the consumers all have the same taste in movies/games as you do. You say they have lower standards because they play games that don't suit your tastes or your own preferences.
Lower standards would be to think the way you do about these things, yet play/watch them anyway.
All you're doing to applying your opinion on the Wii to everyone, saying they have low standards and passing it off as fact.
Nice way to curse at us by abbreviating it. And I'll still say it ... The Wii is making gaming more fun because they are creating new ideas.Im sick of sheep saying wii "made gaming fun again". S t f u.
