Not to say that Wii is not the most desired of the three, but polls about consoles usually are on gamer forums in which most of the members and guests lean more toward Nintendo. It's like taking a survey at a convention of one particular political party; you will get distorted results.

But yeah. The opening argument is very unfounded.



You mean taking a poll from hardcore gamers about which console they are most interested in? If anything, Nintendo should feel great that the majority of hardcore gamers (those of us that are into gaming enough to go to a forum everyday) are well interested in the new Nintendo system.

That was pretty funny. And yeah I see Wii selling like crazy among casuals, I just hope Nintendo gets off its Casual Kick soon, so I can feel like Nintendo wants to cater to the core games too.......

I think your opinion on this matter should stick inside your brain... And never see the light of SW.

What I speak is the truth. Soon there will be another Sony or even Microsoft handheld that is more powerful than the Wii. And the Wii's name sucks, why not call it Oui. Because that's french? It doesn't matter, everytime I say the Wii's name I'm saying Yes in french, which I don't like.

Just like when we use the word "We" or "Wee" in everyday sentances to propely construct a situation or text in writing for others to understand is like saying "Oui" in French... DS is cheaper and has a gimmick and has always been Nintendo's market. Kids are in love with Nintendo handhelds, but people have lost faith in Nintendo's consoles. And the reason Wii is in my username is to mock it. Saying "We" is okay, because that is actually how it's spelled, unlike the "Wii" which could also be pronounced Why?

You are completely right.  It will fail.  Thanks for all the info man, you really swayed thosands of opinions and saved a ton of people from spending $250 for a gimmick into spending $600 for a bigger gimmick.  Please, next time, try harder.

yeah nintendo is doing really bad. That is why they are making the most money and the DS selling like crazy and the psp is selling like crap. But teh graphics!!!!! If that is always true what makes the Ds so popular, to me its like the Ds was a "test" to see is something new but with lower power would sell and I see that it does.

i know! it will fail because it costs 600 dollars, has the worst games of the next gen and is voted in most poll to be the least popular. ...oh wait. wrong console :D

And thats when credibility and such was thrown out the back door. I see mainly people in their early twenties and late teens with more nintendo handhelds than kids. I see mostly kids playing consoles than handheld. This isn't 1997-00 where people like me were young and was hyper to get our hands on pokemon Silver/Gold/Stadium and wrestling games. Times has changed since then......

The Nintedo Wii is a system that is doomed to failure. Nintedo already poisoned its market in the last generation with the Gamecube that was childish and had few quality games. While the Wii may have a handful of few games, the stigma of Nintendo will be hard to get rid of. The Wii is obviously graphically inferior as well. A gimmicky controller doesn't make up for generally poor games. Playstation 3 will crush Nintendo as it has done for every previous generation. zero-twelve
NO quality games huh, so two game of the years isnt quality, thats what the GC had, quality and the PS2 quanity.

You know, I would like for someone who makes these types of topics saying why the "Wii will fail" to actually have a decent argument for once. I really would. It would be entertaining for me and a good debate is always nice. So far all the topics I've read along this vein are horrible and don't even have an argument.

Have fun button mashing while the rest of us are actually interacting with the game.



I hate sheep who say this, the so called "button mashing" didn't seem to be a problem for you until the wii was announced, all of the sudden it's like gimmicky motion sensing is the only way to be.  And yes i will have more fun button mashing, because i tend to enjoy my games more when im comfy on my couch, not standing up and tiring myself by swinging a remote around like a monkey.

There are a lot of people who liked the Gamecube and will certainly like the Wii. It's just that most gamers like myself arnt into the the whole Mario thing or something. I liked it when i was a kid but when almost every game that has to do with Nintendo some how slips in Mario for some odd reason then it gets old. The Wii wont fail because there a lot of people that are too simple gamers and just want to simply and have fun. Its a good thing to play with your girlfriend or your family.

PC and other consoles on the other hand are spread out with pure fun to pure gaming. So it all comes down to opinion. Im some what looking forward to the Wii because of the new Smash Brothers game but not as much as i do for the PS3.
