[QUOTE="ZIMdoom"][QUOTE="ArchaoN"]The point of the thread is...When you have a line-up as deep, well-rounded, and spread out as this, what reason is there to buy a PS3/Wii over a 360 (this year)? The answer, for any non-fanboy is...there is no reason. Not to mention the fact that the 360 has a larger game library, and a lot of Platinum hits/budget games allready on shelves.realityillusion
Dear lemmings. If this is even remotely true, then why did you all buy the Xbox back in the day when the PS2 had a line-up deeper, more well-rounded and spread out than the Xbox or 360 ever had? Yet for some reason none of you lemmings even remotely liked the PS2 and instead opted for the Xbox with its sparses, less deep and less rounded library.
Yet for some reason you now think this is gaming perfection to ignore the simple fact the Wii is crushing the 360 in monthly/weekly sales and will likely be the #1 console by the end of this year.
i never bought an xbox but now i have a 360. What drew me in was the excellent line up. Then I congratulate you. However, I find it pretty ridiculous that the most fanboyish lemmings suddenly thing that a well-rounded library is all it takes to pull in customers. It's ridiculous because they all bought a console for irrational reasons in the first place.
I agree, the 360 has an amazing line-up...but I bought a Wii first because it's a lot cheaper and for the price of the 360 now, I got the Wii and two games. Plus the Wii is wicked fun and has a good line-up on the way this year as well. Meanwhile, I can wait until the 360 drops in price once or twice before buying it.
I'm sure many other casuals (who drive the market) feel the same way. The Wii is much cheaper and a blast to play. Plus, the fact it is still impossible to find makes people want it more. The simple fact is this industry is purely popularity driven and right now the Wii shows no sign of losing that popularity. They are outselling the 360 and PS3 combined.
For anyone to act as if that is meaningless and a reason the Wii won't outsell the 360 either is kidding themselves or doesn't know how to add.
