Why the Wii wins 2009 over the PS3(56k)

I love my Wii! It keeps a nice little rectangular area of my entertainment center free of dust and its nice and flat so I can set the box to the PS3 or 360 game I'm playing on it!

If your gonna directly compare the PS3 and Wii why wouldn't you count multiplats for the PS3?

As long as the Wii can't play it the multiplats should count!

SWs usualy only disqualify's multiplats if the multiplat is on both the systems being compared!

Its almost the same way "flops" get treated. Look at Madworld or Halo War's score on Metacritic. Both are way higher then there scores but some things just truly dont matter in SW. Such as multiplats.

I dont get it. Wii has no games over 9, with the majority under 7, and ps3 has 4 exlcusives scorign 9^ ? I think its clear this has been the year of the ps3_Cadbury_

Yes but it must be shared because you guys for some reason have to include multiplats, thats TWO systems in order to beat the Wii's in an EXCLUSIVES debate. Therefore, since you have to rely on two consoles to beat it, 2009 is shared between 360 and PS3.

Couldn't disagree more. I know you don't want to coun't multiplats because you want to hide behind the 360 like most cows hide behind the PC. Well, since we're comparing the PS3 directly to the Wii then I want to count all games. But I'm not going to list a bunch of Uncharted 2 GOTYs and OMG inFamous at you like i usually do. Here's the facts:

Since the PS3 launched it has gained:
AAAA-2
AAA- 21
AA- 69
A- 72

AAAAE-1
AAAE- 6
AAE- 6
AE- 11

The Wii has:
AAA- 7
AA- 39
A- 64
AAAE-4
AAE- 14
AE- 27

These numbers mean something. See 50% of the PS3's AAAA games were exclusive, 28.5% of AAA games were exclusive, 8.6% of AA games were exclusive, and 15.3% of A games were exclusive.

The Wii has a different situation. See 57.1% of the Wii's AAA games are exclusive. 35.9% of AA games are exclusive, and 42.2% of A games are exclusive.

What does this say? That Wii owners do infact hide behind the 360. The fact is the Wii is loaded with exclusives, but this has nothing to do with how many games that the system gets. The Wii looks pretty good in terms of exclusives, but outside of that what does it have. The PS3 has almost as many AAAE games as the Wii does total. Surely that says something. Whoever says the Wii has the best library should look at the stats. The Wii misses out on ALOT of multiplats and, while PS3/360 owners miss out on alot of Wii exclusives, Wii owners miss out on more PS3/360 multiplats.

On a side note, IMO 360/PC games should count. So don't give me that hipocrisy crap.

What an odd perspective. It is perfectly all right to favor the Wii, but to throw in an odd rule (such as not counting Uncharted 2 in either already reviewed or future games for PS3) and completely ignoring multiplats just makes you come off as a tad bit biased, Mr. TC.WAIW

Uncharted 2 was already in the spread sheet along with Demon Souls. The pics were just showing what was still left.
