Why the xbone is worse...

Well its simply less powerful. Many games need to make sacrifices in aspects of their graphics and possibly even gameplay. So I think that people should choose the more powerful system - ps4.

pc is the most powerful system

I have both systems and the only way to see the difference is to put 2 tvs side by side.And the difference is small.Also moving from 1080p to 900p, it doesnt take you more than 5 minutes to get used to the lower resolution.

If it were a night and day difference between these consoles, say the disparity from the Wii U to the Xbox One, I would be inclined to agree OP. However the real world practical application differences and results between the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are so minute in reality that it's not even worth bringing up.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are iterative of each other, they're not some drastically different technology. What matters is experience and what the system brings to the table that makes you happy, not exaggerated performance figures, not exaggerated graphical fidelity and not minuscule nit picks.

I'm so glad we have the TC here to bring up issues that haven't been discussed in SW.

Xbone graphics look just fine, and there's hardly any difference from the PS4.

Its not power, that's just a plus remember most casuals don't even know the general specs of these machines but they do remember and associate certain games to these systems

That's the problem I have with this generation, there's so many casual gamers who don't really know or understand what these technical and graphical output capabilities actually mean in reality. and they are blowing them completely out of proportion.

This is possibly the least amount of effort put into a thread... That's truly saying something.

What sort of insecurities are required to make these threads?

Whoever started this thread has just moved out of a cave hidden deep underground and somehow thinks it's launch day for both consoles. So yeah, cut him slack for either a) hiding underground all this time (which is cool) or b) just being incredibly fucking stupid.

Even first party PlayStation developers make compromises, just how many games on the PS4 are running at 1080p and 60fps (let alone more) and Ultra settings? Oh that's right, not a single one. Hell there aren't any PS4 games that run on Ultra equivalent and by far the majority are 30 fps. You call that powerful? All gen 8 consoles are weak in comparison to modern hardware.

I game on max settings at 1440p and 60fps to 144fps on all games and I'm still well short of the maximum power of some PC's.

No, no it's not. He put ZERO thought into his thread. Just "PS4 is more powerful". Everyone knows that by now but the differences are so small only cows would care. I mean, show me game play differences because of the power disparity? The TC said gameplay differences as well as graphical. So, show me the gameplay differences.

The Xbone is weaker than the PS4? Never even knew that till now. Selling my Xbone for a PS4 as I'm typing this.

To be fair, he saidpossibly in gameplay. He didn't claim the gameplay part was a certainty.

I'm not trying to defend this lousy thread or anything, but this is System Wars. Seems like the right place to talk about the PS4 being more powerful than the Xbox.

He's already gotten NyaDC -- the biggest lem on the forum -- to go on damage-control mode. I'd say that's a pretty good start.

And if the only reason that a person would pick a PS4 over an Xbone is because of the slight power difference, that's pretty dumb imo.

They both suck. The GPUs are disappointing but the CPUs are a disaster. Perhaps GPGPU will help if anyone ever decides to use it. PS4 has a clear advantage there with its 8 ACE units vs X1's 2. And well, how the hell will anyone do GPGPU on X1 anyway? There's barely enough power for graphics as it is so I don't see anyone wanting to subtract from that even more by dedicating some of those resources to compute.

Yes they are blowing it out of proportion i mean 720p vs 1080p is nothing,now if it was like last gen where the XBO 360 was killing the PS3 doing 720p while the PS3 did 640p now that is a huge gap a very huge huge gap,i remember how lemmings use to brag about it in both GTA4 and RDR as well.

Actually many "lemmings" know that X1's hardware is shit. The amusing part is that so many Sony loyalists fail to recognize that their console's hardware sucks only slightly less. Y'all make out like one is a turd and the other is gold. Nope, they're both turds. PS4 may be a somewhat more firm, less repugnant turd but it's a turd nonetheless.
