The PS4 version should be updated to display at a resolution the CPU can actually handle and/or GPGPU should be initiated to help the struggling CPU out.
Even first party PlayStation developers make compromises, just how many games on the PS4 are running at 1080p and 60fps (let alone more) and Ultra settings? Oh that's right, not a single one. Hell there aren't any PS4 games that run on Ultra equivalent and by far the majority are 30 fps. You call that powerful? All gen 8 consoles are weak in comparison to modern hardware.
I game on max settings at 1440p and 60fps to 144fps on all games and I'm still well short of the maximum power of some PC's.
Thread about the xbox one brings PC to downplay the PS4 and justify the xbox one lack of power.
Consoles compete with consoles not PC,they are 2 different markets and ALWAYS will be,on PC you can go the extra mile which is great but is not the same marquet and don't compete with each other.
Fact is people would pick whichever console they seem is right for them even if it is the weakest like the wii proved last gen.

Ill tell you why is theoritically the worse system ( than PS4 ) once again.
X1 had Kinect as its big marketing weapon , the fact that could offer everything Wii couldnt PLUS what Wii could. Means all the 3rd party support possible plus the motion controls everyone went crazy with Wii last gen . They made a system with its big weapon being not hardware or any fancy specs .. but motions controls.
That decision backfired so hard as we all know , noone gave a shit about motion controls anymore therefore their big marketing weapon was out of the picture suddenly ... and they left with what PS4 was way better ... plain hardware specs that is.
That gave PS4 big momentum and hype over X1 along other things ( original price ) ... MS tried to make a system that could be the ONE for everyone. Casuals , hardcores , semi-casuals , kids , grown ups ,...you name it. Therefore the name Xbox one imho.
Anyways , its too late for MS , their decision to follow Wii steps even if it was making sense at the time was a really bad move that backfired and we just witnessing the results of that move.

If you can't clearly see enemies from far that interfere with your GAMEPLAY experience dude,just like if your frames drop to much as well frames can make your game unplayable.

I have all three consoles (including Wii U) and PS4 currently is the least played (although an argument can be made that i have not had it as long as the rest). Xbone has dead rising and halo, wii u has smash bros and mario kart. Xbone gets all the non exclusives as my mates all have ithe console I have my PS4 for Until dawn (yet to start) but I have bought it in preparation for Disgaea and Persona. Oh, also PC for football manager, HOMM, and Civ 5.
The thing is I dont care which is more powerful. I cant tell the difference, or really dont care enough to put as much attention on it. Currently xbone and wii u are leading the way for me. as soon as disgaea and persona come out, i imagine it will switch.,

Of course consoles and PC compete for the gaming market. I'm an avid upgrade junky but IF the consoles were more powerful and multi-platform games ran better on consoles than on PC, I would buy a console without a second thought.
Modern gaming = multi-platform, anything with the same games available to them are competing with the others. Of course the enormous amount of exclusives from all kinds of genres and the "console" exclusives available on PC are nice too.

Dude, just buy a Windows key on Kinguin for like 10 bucks. When they say software is cheap on PC, they're not just talking about games. Get with the times already.
As for the controller, don't forget that you can pick from dozens of different options. You can use a 360 one, a Dualshock, Xbox One, a Logitech, a Mad Catz, a Razer... you can even use a USB NES/SNES controller.
You can mix and match, connect the ones you/your friends prefer and play that way. And you can switch to mouse & keyboard at any time.

Of course consoles and PC compete for the gaming market. I'm an avid upgrade junky but IF the consoles were more powerful and multi-platform games ran better on consoles than on PC, I would buy a console without a second thought.
Modern gaming = multi-platform, anything with the same games available to them are competing with the others. Of course the enormous amount of exclusives from all kinds of genres and the "console" exclusives available on PC are nice too.
That is a contradiction,consoles will never be more powerful than PC,even the 360 which was powerful would not beat a 7800GTX in SLI,so while the 360 could beat 1 7800GTX it could not beat 2,and by next year it had a horde of GPU more powerful hell the 7900GTX ran Oblivion at higher resolution than the 360 which even with all an its power was sub 720p already a few months from launch.
Consoles are never going to beat PC,even if the had a 390X or a Titan on PC you can use several.

The combination of the two isn't great news for Xbox One though. Compared to the native 1080p PS4 version, buildings, foliage and distant objects appear considerably less defined with subtle normal map and texture details smudged over. This reduction in clarity also makes it harder to spot other players that are far away, particularly when they are crouched behind vehicles or lying prone within similarly coloured scenery. Obviously, moving targets are easier to see, but stationary enemies tend to blur into the surrounding environment somewhat.

Just because PC brings masses of options that increase power way beyond the reach of a console, doesn't mean that they shouldn't be comparable or even better at the start of a generation, at least with non god like rigs. It is the reason I bought an Xbox 360 and not a PS3 and is also the reason I bought a Geforce 8800 GT as soon as they were available. (i.e. So as I could play multi-plats at least as well as the 360).
That's direct competition and even with today's consoles, people still make the decision whether to go PS4, Xbox One or PC (I guess Wii U is in there somewhere as well) for their gaming requirements.
