Why the Xbox 360 doesn't need many exclusives to outdo the PS3.

Personally I think this is because the 360 is used more often as a dedicated gaming machine than the PS3.

That said a whole lot of nothing. And I use my PS3 more as a 'dedicated gaming machine'.UCF_Knight

the thing that pisses me off about sony is the fact they dont have good marketing strategies....i honestly dont get it i mean the kevin bultler thing is cool but it took them awhile to come up with one

Yeah its the marketing that MS does. They baffle the masses with bull**** and they eat it up.

MS must be racking in the dough just from third parties, if this is the case. I wonder how much MS charges them.

The thread title cracks me up, because I'd be willing to bet that most xbox gamers--RLfanboys included--would much rather have more dedicated games developed for the console.

Actually its because Windows is indeed basically a monopoly. In terms of what the mainstream know about, or even can use, its really their only option. Linux is not something most people would use, and those are the two big OS's, besides MAC which sucks the most. I use Windows 7 and love it. It is one of few products I do love by them right now :P.

Well considering the exclusives are the only thing that matter to me, that is exactly what it needs to outdo the PS3. And it is failing bad. PS3 has way more games I want vs what the 360 has.

Xbox 360 sells well in NA at least through good marketing. Most of my buddies can't really make much of an argument as to why they like 360 better than the PS3. It's usually something like "360 has a better controller" or "XBOX LIVE MAN."

The issue with the controller is purely a matter of personal opinion since they function similarly. XBL has a few more features, but also costs money on top of your normal ISP bill. Once again though it is your decision to pony up for "premium" service over a free service that functions pretty well (when it is not getting destroyed by hackers).

Honestly the debate between these 2 platforms kinda HAS to come down to the (few) exclusive games they offer.

The difference is that Sony, a company that isn't even doing that well financially(could be wrong), CONTINUES to put money into games--high quality ones as far as production is concerned--to win over an audience. That is far more admirable than what MS does. How people fail to see this boggles my mind. I don't understand how people defend MS so much.

Win 7 is a terrific OS, sadly, that's hardly and excuse for their lackluster lineup.

Don't get me wrong I love playing my 360 and all. But PS3 is my main system for entertainment and playing games because IMO Sony has more to offer me. But I will say XBL is better than PSN on the online part.

Because all electronics have problems. It is pretty obvious that the RROD was a pretty big deal with the 360.
