Nope,if my prefered system had a mandatory fee for me to play videogames online I would simply wouldn´t pay/use it,especially when you have similar/better services for free.

You mean Xlink Kai? I think that's illegal.

I meant services in other systems.I'm not going to tell a person how to spend their money, but Live is just a waste to me. I didn't mind paying last gen because it blew away the (console) competition by a large margin.
But now? Its just a joke. I get the same experience playing online with my PS3 and its free. And though I'm not a PC gamer I know they are getting a better experience than both consoles for free.
I paid for the console. I paid for the connection. I paid for the game. Why the hell should I pay to play a portion of a game that I already purchased? You can try rationalizing it any way you like, but in the end you are getting ripped off. Simple as that.
It is a simple answer why I pay 60$ for xbox live, its so I can play online on a 360 because I dont want a ps3. So is it worth it to pay 60$? yes it is because I get to play on my 360. Now you may say im a fanboy which I am but think about it if you cows were in the same position we are you would have the same belief and feelings, its your ps3 thats what you like thats why you pay for it.AustyBosty
Do you not have a PC? Surely you must do since you just made a thread.

You pay it because you prefer Xbox. Microsoft appreciates your commitment.

A simple answer yes. But a simple rebuttle: Why should I have to pay a company for peer to peer play on top of my internet when I can do free peer to peer gaming on my PC, Wii, Dreamcast, and PS3, save myself 60 dollars for a game (to which a happy dev might get my cash), and just have to worry about paying for the internet?
Who cares? you don't have to justify why you pay for anything to be honest its your money. There isn't really any justification for how much live costs imo but what you choose to pay for is still nobody elses business (I have wasted more money on consoles and games I have no time to play than I have Live).
I have both and pay for live.[QUOTE="racing1750"][QUOTE="tomarlyn"]If you had both you'd see things differently.tempest91
I do as well.
As do many other users here with both services. But, this particular debate topic is quite prone to lapses of common sense and logic, so we won't let that little tidbit get in the way of laughably petty bickering, pissing contests, and accusations of personal preferences and senses of value being a result of mental deficiencies.Nope,if my prefered system had a mandatory fee for me to play videogames online I would simply wouldn´t pay/use it,especially when you have similar/better services for free.

Way to prove his point sir.

You don't have one. Faulty logic doesn't provide us with a point, just a succession of baseless assumptions.
If you had both you'd see things differently.tomarlynso true, I stopped paying for live 4 months after buying my ps3. I got a 60gb on release day.
I'd like to see a honest poll where 360 gamers answer whether they'd still pay for XBL if they could play games online and chat with friends for free.
Mystic-G
If the service was anything like PSN+ I wouldn't pay for it. But if Live then became PSN, I would be very disappointed and probably turn to using mostly steam.
I think there's a huge difference between not minding paying for Live and enjoying paying for it. Methinks you'd be sorely disappointed with the poll results...I'd like to see a honest poll where 360 gamers answer whether they'd still pay for XBL if they could play games online and chat with friends for free.

So a clapping hands gif is accurate logic for you? Again, way to prove my point :P

I honestly believe that some people think we would send MS money if Live was free.

That was just to salute your statement. I never claimed to make a point here did I? I just claimed that you were, and still are proving his. The GIF was merely there to accentuate this notion. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
