Why Wii isn't next gen

SO if I go by your logic.....than the controler makes a system a next gen system? In that case I go out and buy a driveing weel and and got a next gen system. Then the next day I go out and buy some other crazy stuff...another next gen system!!

Listen people can complain all they want about Wii not being next gen and you know what

Their partially right it isn't at least not graphically.

But what you fail to understand that although graphically it may not be nearly as powerful

as 360 or Ps3, its innovation comes from its controller and what new gameplay styles it introduces

so in that sense Wii is next gen in that regard where as Ps3 and 360 are still last gen.

I still love my 360 and especially my Ps3

but you can't criticize a console and not have a full understanding of what next-gen really is

No, but you don't understand! It's a new console! It automaticaly becomes next gen because it's the next console. Say whatever you like the Wii is current gen, and so is 360 and PS3.

the wii did came after GC and wii is twice as powerful as gc, but really does it count as next gen? isn't next gen suppose to be a big leap and not a small one?
