Why XboxLive is a rip-off

Here are my unbaised reasons why XboxLive is a ripoff, this is from a PC gamer's point of view.1. XboxLive Doesn't have dedicated servers- People have been complaining about the lack of dedicated servers in major games like Gears of War. And the server host lag advantage. And for a major game like GeOW, there's no dedicated servers? Why? Where does your money go then?-Even PS3 games like Warhawk has dedicated servers and up to 32 players per server, what does Gears have, 4 players?So you're paying for a service that can only support up to 4 players, and laggy online. When you can get 32 players and no lag with the PS3?2. Everything on Xboxlive, you'll get with PS home. Leaderboards, achievements, communities and online play, and get this, all of it is free! With Xboxlive, you pay just so u can see some numbers, which M$ calls achievements? While on the PS3, you can actually see your trophies displayed and rendered in 3D.3. If you think $50 is not a lot. If you bought the Xbox360 since launch, you already paid $100 for online. That's 2 years. And in 4 years, you'll pay $200, and if u keep the console for 6 years, it's $400!!!...that's the price of a brand new console.4. If you're Xbox360 breaks at any time and you have to send it in for repairs, you are basically paying for an online service that you are not recieving since u can't play your Xbox360. And since you pay the $50 up front, u can't get any of it back, you're service is just wasting away while you wait for the 360 to get fixed.So you're paying for a service that is laggy, doesn't have dedicated servers, and sometimes you can't even us the service. On the other hand Sony's online Home service has superior everything, including Demos, trailers, updates, online play with dedicated servers for free!When you look at it that way, Xboxlive looks like it's a real rip off.

Home is ok... and it's free... but if you want more items or a new hourse... your going to have to pay for it... at least that's what got out of there press confrence this year. GundamGuy0

If you don't want new furnature then don't get it, just like how if you don't want a new theme pack on 360 don't get it. And BTW, grats on 6000

If all you want to do is game online then yes live is a rip but if you want more then live is not a rip imo. The should have servers for more players and less lag like pc and psn.
