So far it the best console but if I had to do it over again I would have waited until MKWiiU comes out. After I get my X1 I'll have 2 systems collecting dust while I play on steam.

So why buy a PS4, then? It's a console with NO backward compatibility, NO external drive support, and NO 3D Blu-Ray support.

If anything, the Wii has gems that you have never tried before. Namely two of the greatest games of last gen (Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2), bit-Trip series, Metroid Prime 3, Kirby Epic Yarn, Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Madworld, House of the Dead Overkill.

Ehh, I'm getting me some SC2 action.

I literally had to force myself to stop playing SC2, it was consuming my life. Afraid to play again. I'm sticking with the casual stuff like RE5 and ME for now.

I plan to stick with the PS3 for now.

I'd be okay with this as long as Project X comes out before that.

Why I won't buy your Piece of Shit WiiU, which is a disaster btw:

1. None of those features are "great", they are several years dated and done far better on my PC, and likely done better on PS4/XB1. Nintendo's shoddy attempt at these are insulting.

2. I don't play video games designed for 8 year olds or grandparents, constantly rehashed by Nintendo idea depraved developers. How embarassing.

3. Multiple tabs on an internet broswer? Youtube app? WOW, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. No, **** off.

Did I say I bought a PS4? I couldn't care less that it doesn't support external hard drives. I would rather have that than be stuck not being able to upgrade my internal HDD like you are with the X1. And it does have 3D Blu-Ray playback, just not right now. They are patching it in and have already said this, so this isn't me guessing that they will. Bit trip is multiplat and I own it (but haven't played it) and couldn't care less about Nintendo first party games. I grew out of Mario years ago. Xenoblades is the only game you listed that I would care to play.

I'll pick one up sooner or later now that price dropped....

The Wii U is garbage at the moment the only thing that's making it look good is the PS4 launch line up ubut they shall probably have better games like InFamous,Uncharted,LBP and others in the next year.

Unless you've been ignoring ALL WiiU posts up till now, you would know that the WiiU is fully capable of playing Wii games.

Games that are in the Picture are games obtainable now.

Plus isn't that what Sony Fans are doing since most of it's Launch Line Up was bumped into Next Year?

1. No duh PC is ahead of the game when it comes to social media. That's pretty much all it has going for. Heck Steam has Social Media Functions, which work just about the same as WiiU's Miiverse.
2. So you've never actually played a Nintendo game in the past 10 years or so huh?
3. And you'll be jumping for joy if those were apps on your Xbox and PS system huh? Besides the Web Browser is completely separate from the game, you could be playing Monster Hunter and suddenly you forget where to find this particular scale. You could ask Miiverse or you could go on the Internet and Search on Google and get the same response. While PS4 and Xbox One seem to emulate PCs when it comes to something like Steam, WiiU has that Internet Browser that PS4 and Xbox One doesn't have.

HD Ports and lazy rehashes of 2D Mario games don't say get me and to be honest I think Mario Kart looks another gimmick and Smash Bros is actually starting to get tiresome now. Metroid is a good as gone,Bayonetta didn't enjoy the first game that much that only leaves Zelda.Nintendo got lucky with the Wii I mean at least in it's first year it had Galaxy,Metroid Prime 3,Twilight Princess,Zack and Wiki and Super Paper Mario.

Note how I said Bit-trip "series", not Runner (one of six games in the wiiware series), which only made it on Steam. 3d Blu-ray playback will eventually come, but not yet? My point was that the PS4 is a poor investment at launch. Fair enough on Mario, I'm about as sick of Sony franchises as you are of Mario.

Otherwise, I'm glad we both agree that there is no point in buying a PS4 (unless I'm mistaken).

PS4 launched two days ago, the Xbone hasn't yet. Apparently these blatantly obvious facts are lost here, and I'd love to hear how it is at all a valid comparison. Let's have the PS4 and Xbone have an entire year to build their software lineups, and then compare them to the Wii U's today, shall we?

We campaigning now? Why you shouldn't buy a Wii U: The system will fail and Nintendo will go third party, and everyone will get to enjoy their mega franchises. Win for everyone.

I don't think the fans are the problem, it's getting everyone else to buy it.

And it's not enough to make me folk out £229 on a console like the Wii U. It has such an unsure future and i'm not sure what its direction is. I'm done buying Nintendo home consoles early and hoping they turn into something good. I did that with the GameCube and the Wii, now I want Nintendo to make it into a great console before I consider it.

We don't really need to look at the Xbox One and PS4 in that way, because we know what they're about, we know they're getting support in all areas.

Yes, I believe Nintendo can do no wrong... even though I've called them out for region encoding since flying away from home, said their budget line up was ass, criticized them for not fully opening up Miiverse on 3DS, criticized much of the concept of the 2DS when it was announced, and even facepalmed at Miyamoto's statement on Japanese gamers not liking hard games.
