The Order was a game with potential. The parts that were playable were good however there were too many cut-scenes; it just killed the game imo.

It could be the new Knack, whereby the original was an average game and the sequel is excellent. I have been blown away with the improvement in the 2nd Knack. It has been my 2nd favourite PS4 exclusive behind Rachet and Clank.

Prey. Not saying its 10/10 ZOMG but it isn't a 6/10 either.

It's a solid game and in its best parts reminds me of the greats like Half Life and Bioshock.

Same here.

Was watching this video and I couldnt agree more. The Order definitely had a questionable design philosophy but it was still entertaining while it lasted imo. It's world, characters and vibe had a lot of potential and if Knack had a sequel then Sony should give The Order a second chance also. Just give to it more freedom in its gameplay and level design and voila, you'll have a winning game.

So, wich games you think deserve a second chance?

LOL no, there are no redeeming qualities in the Order apart from the setting which they didn't take any advantage of. From shooting mechanics, to action, to story to characters everything is so damn shitty in Order. Nothing is the Order made sense, I mean the main character while being a knight kills everyone guards, soldiers, rebels with no context. Funny thing the characters are all cliche as well.

I believe these guys sums up perfectly all I want to say:

Loading Video...

The only way to somehow leverage it is if you reboot the series.

I enjoyed it. I dont give a f*ck about anything else. And the gunplay was solid albeit spaced out poorly between long walking segments. It was the pacing that was terrible in The Order, not the gunplay

Quantum Break. Ignore the so-so story, turn the difficulty up, you'll find it's decent. Turn your score of 7 into an 8.

I actually enjoyed The Order..... suppose that's what happens when you don't let review scores tell you what games you will and won't like.

Or when you don't understand what makes a game good.

Thats an idiotic escapist reply. If he enjoyed it what matters how "good" something is? Games are meant to entertain us, nothing else. If The Order did entertain us both, what others consider "good" becomes irrelevant

I remember current gen remaster collections like Bioshock and Batman Arkham games getting bad reputations for lazy cash-ins, but I replayed these last couple months and they are really great still.

I think the BioShock collection is one of the better remasters out there, you get all 3 games with new Director's commentary. I think I paid 50$ at the time, but many remasters go for 40$ solo these days, so I thought 50$ for 3 games + new stuff was good enough.....I'm a big BioShock fan though.

@Alucard_Prime: I picked mine up during the Countdown sale for $10 for Arkham and $20 for Bioshock, excellent value in these bundles, only disappointment was Arkham Collection didn't include Origins. I'm glad I revisited these, I gained better appreciation for what Arkham City offered in its lore references I didn't pick up on originally but gained insight into after revisiting the Batman animated series from the 90s. I also liked Bioshock 2 more, mostly because after replaying the first I felt it was way too long, Bioshock 2's felt just right.

Arkham knight is another game Imo. People complained about too much batmobile. I just limited my use of it until the parts i had to use it. Game was great

Elder Scrolls Online. It's a damn good MMO right now (probably the best on the market).

@Vatusus:

To me the gunplay seems to be similar to Gears series and pretty much contains your normal weapons that you use in any of your standard shooters. The only good or unique guns appear for a moment and then got taken away. I just don't see how it's anything worth salvaging.

No one said it must be unique. Gears gunplay is still fun, despite being pretty much standard.

That is a thing that could be improved in a sequel, thus this thread

SFV shot itself in the foot, undersold and was (pretty sure) the worst received of the main entries outside of the original game.

It still has grindy bullshit, but it's also now got alot of content and is really just, a superb game. Arguably the best fighting game on the market.

That is where we must agree to disagree. To me Gears is a very shitty game and no game should try to imitate it.

Certainly The Order, too much hate for this game imo.

It has its flaws but nowhere near as much as the hatred it received.

I hope for more from Ready at Dawn, just fix you game mechanics, a bit, and you have an awesome Ip!!!

The original Killzone.

It was suppose to be this "Halo Killer" but the game's engine simply couldn't flow on the PS2 hardware. Guerrilla didn't even bother addressing anything with its PS3 HD remake. To me, I found the game to be a fun shooter, despite it's flaws. SP campaign had a lot going for it because it was long, great firefights, with few checkpoints between. Yes, I'm probably the very few who would say this, but I find the story to be excellent, hell even deeper/darker. Nothing revolutionary, but to me it was interesting to see themes of oppression, tyranny, colonialism and interplanetary government struggle and even "racism". To me, this would have been Playstation's flagship shooter, an answer to Halo.

With a few tweaks, game could be special in this co-op focused gaming scene.
