It's the main theme throughout most of the first game and has been featured in the majority of castlevania games. It is the main theme of the series since it's named after the weapon most of the main characters use.

Guitar sucks? That's ****ing Steve Vai. One of the best guitarists on the planet. And before you generalize me as an "FPS lover that don't know any other main themes", tell that to the MGSOST collection on my iPod. Hell, tell that to the UC2 OST on there too.

one of the things RA actually managed to keep true from RA2.

though, Hell march and RA2s main theme are better IMO.

nostalgia may be at work, but that's in my opinion.

No More Heroes has a kickass main theme, plus remixes of said theme which are equally awesome.
