Yoga is quite well known to be a good muscle toning/stretching and meditative routine.
I'm sure there are other forms of exercise. Just like the Your Fitness game for the xbox.

Pain is the new yoga? Why are some people so threatened by the Wii?Nuck81
It's not that we're threatened, we just like to play games. Wii Fit seems way too much work for what you truly get out of it (in terms of it being a game)
This is why I'm disliking Nintendo. They just don't care about the hardcore market to keep gamers coming back for more. SMG was fantastic and I'm sure SSBB will be great but they just don't seem dedicated. They're taking the idea of "expanding" the market a little too far.

You do realize the Xbox had a game called Your Fitness right? Which was basically the same thing without the balancing board?
Remember the xbox, considered the hardcore gamers peferred console?

Oh and no pain, no gain.

Yes but Microsoft didn't have the idea of completely changing demographics to create new markets. How much did Your Fitness sell? How much do you think Wii Fit and games like Brain Age will sell? Then look at the demographics. The Wii is not the hardcore gamers console, I just wish it were.

It may have been on the xbox but it wasnt published by Microsoft, and wasnt shown off like Wii fit was at E3. It was also on the PC, and PS2.
Your talking about this game right? http://xbox.ign.com/objects/684/684496.html

Depends if you shop at nordstroms are not :P
And yes that game. It was a brilliant idea that needed to be better executed.
I'm somewhat looking forward to see if nintendo pushed past what Yourself fitness started.
The potential is far beyond what any DVD could offer.

N64 was damn fine and so were NES and SNES.
Hell, even GCN was more hardcore than Wii.
...It's a Nintendo console, yes. But this time they wanted to take a different approach and expand the market. In turn, this may lessen the hardcore demographic and increase the NON-GAMER demographic.
It's not the same Nintendo.

Seems like to me all the same games are being released for it as was for the GCN and every other nintendo console. Their bringing more people into gaming. It will take awhile to convert them them to liking or being interested in more serious games. The system has been out for a year and were complaining that there aren't enough of a specific type of game? Everyone whose complaining about 360, wii, ps3 talk to me in a few years and then complain it has no games for your tastes.

exercise can be fun....and it more rewarding than beating a game sometimes
I love DDR for that very reason
PLus it also great fun in a group to know who could do it the best
[QUOTE="Udsen"][QUOTE="iFuel"]lol yet the wii fit beats the hell outta ps3 games combinediFuel
You're nothing but a troll.
the truth makes me a troll? okay there kiddo
Do you honestly believe that Wiifit, a game yet to be released, is better than every single PS3 game...combined?

I had no idea Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fit, and Big Brain Academy were all on every Nintendo console (and those games are or will be damn good sellers on the Wii, why? The main market is NON-GAMER). I don't think a soccer mom wants to sit down and play some Ninja Gaiden or Metal Gear.
Are you following me?

Those games haven't been on a nintendo console since the NES. What nintendo systems have you been playing for the last 20 years? Mario? Metriod? Smash? Zelda? I think they still own Starfox(you'll probably see that), Mario Party.
I'm sorry that you only bought the Wii and expected it to be something it's not. Why do you fear change and growth so much?
well i can see it now 2008, the year nintendo killed gaming for the actual gamers. thank you sheep for supporting this garbage. i hope you feel good for your self, i'm finished talking about the wii iamshivySeeing how cows are going about saying 2008 is Sony year, you don't want to hurt their chances now, do you? How about next year? Next year should be free, no one has booked it yet. What say you?

All of those are fantastic but honestly, they need new IP's.
I don't fear "growth" (I had no idea a remote was growth..), I fear of the destruction of the cores of gaming. Nintendo killed gaming. Ironic, yes?
Yes, Nintendo is expanding the market. That doesn't mean crap. If they aren't appealing to my market, why is expansion good? It's just negligence. It's like adding the feature of .GIF's to be viewed on PS3, but still not creating in-game XMB.
Am I serious about gaming? Yes
Is Nintendo serious about gaming? No
Am I serious about Nintendo? No
Way to sell out for a few bucks, Nintendo. What are you, Kiss?
cool you guys measure the wii by wii fit, and ill measure the wii by mario galaxy, metroid prime 3, no more heroes, smash bros, etc
seriousaly why is this game brought up every time.
Should we start measuring the PS3 by genji or measure the 360 by Hour of Victory.jg4xchamp
Well nintendo did go kinda out of their way to display Wii fit at E3, much longer than anyother game, including the games you listed.
