Well nintendo did go kinda out of their way to display Wii fit at E3, much longer than anyother game, including the games you listed.

Wii fit has gone to far! Don't say bad things about it or the Wii Fit pad will grab the nearest knife and stab you in the back betraying it!

Then Wii-Fit is going to take your wallet (with your credit card in it, presumably) and car keys and drive ito Las Vegas, Nevada so it can spend all your money while gambling (No, you can't cancel the card either, because Wii Fit cut your telephone line and you realize that you left your cell phone in your car). After it's satisfied with that, it will drive your car over a cliff, or into a large body of water, but not before it can escape and return to Japan (by mailing itself). There it will find it's way back to the Nintendo HQ so it can complete it's mission. Then they'll just export it to a retailer in the US so the cycle can start again.

Yeah now you know the truth. You fearful now? Yes? No?

The wii fit has been talked about since at least the summer, this isn't new news or anything. If you've been following it, it's selling very well in Japan.

I just don't get what the posts here are about, there are many articles on this site alone about it.

I would like to apologize for my earlier, rather trollish comment. That was childish of me.

However, I would like to understand why so many of you hate wiifit. The hatred it recieves is downright insane. I've heard more about this game from Wii-haters than I have from Wii-fans(most of whom are more concerned with Brawl and NMH, by the way). That, to me, is pretty telling in and of itself. I fail to see how this game's existance, or even the Wii's existance, interferes with the rest of the game industry. All three of the current consoles have plenty of games that appeal to traditional gamers. Why do you all feel so violated by the fact that a company wishes to expand the market? Especially when you are still getting what you want. I mean, I understand and agree with many of the arguements brought against Nintendo in other areas (online, 3rd parties, etc.), but the whole anti-Wiifit campaign people seem to be on confounds me.

This really bizarre to me. Personally, I think Wiifit is interesting, but I would probably never buy it. I just dont get alot of the hate. Why do so many of you hate this game so much? I really want to know.

Or maybe I should just let it go. I suppose there are some things I'm not meant to understand. =/

It's not that we're threatened, we just like to play games. Wii Fit seems way too much work for what you truly get out of it (in terms of it being a game)

This is why I'm disliking Nintendo. They just don't care about the hardcore market to keep gamers coming back for more. SMG was fantastic and I'm sure SSBB will be great but they just don't seem dedicated. They're taking the idea of "expanding" the market a little too far.
