A game that has been released on a previous console or a remake. Why is that? Why don't I see people confident enough to hype new Wii games? I see cows post screenshots of Lair and Heavenly Sword and assasins Creed, etc. I see Lems hype Mass Effect and Huxley and Shadowrun and Lost Odyssey and Alan Wake. My Sims is going to be an awesome title. It's a third party title built ground up for the Wii with the console's audience in mind. Add to the fact that this might be the first Sims title to crack the Japanese market because of its visual style, and you have a winner.

Thing is, Ive never seen a thread hype the gameplay either. I don't know what these games look like. I don't know their storylines. I mean if sheep are excited about them, you'd think they'd SHOW it. Tell the world! I don't know if they are hyped for certain scores or anything. I just know they are Wii titles, that's it. And to me, that means nothing. It;'s like you guys are all hoping for that one surprise hit that creeps up on everybody. That's fine, but why do they all have to be surprise hits? Why cant one of look like a sure thing?

Ahh, so that's it. You are scared to get owned by a flop? I understand that, but it just makes your hype in that game not genuine. It means you need assurance to be excited about a game, and that's kinda sad. I don't need assurance to know that Mass Effect is going to be a GOTY candidate and THAT dam good. I never hear about any GOTY candidates from the Wii. I just find it curious, that's all.

So you're saying, if a good 3rd party game comes out, but it wasn't hyped, that doesn't make it good?

Lets say a football team isn't predicted to do well at all, because they lost every game the previous year. Then they go undefeated without ANY previous hype. Are you saying that thre would be a diference IF they got hyped before?

Good games are good games, regardless.
