Wow! The Wii is actually releasing real new titles. After all the remakes and "classics" (*cough* from 20 years ago *cough*) it's about time!

Now the question is, will these games be hyped like smash bros was? You know, that game that got a 6.5 .

Your implication was that he was hyping Little Big Planet, as though it and Dewey's Adventure were even in the same *genre* or that LBP was a "kiddy" game and he was insulting Dewey's Adventure for being a title aimed a younger audience. LBP and Dewey's Adventure are not in the same genre, let alone in the same league gameplay wise.

Dragon Quest Swords is an embarassment as well... just awful. The DS-exclusive DQ9 will graphically (and gameplay-wise) blow it out of the water.

Zach and Wiki looks like a cheap rip off of Ratchet & Clank.lariz

I'd avoid resorting to pure "fun" debates over technical achievement when fighting LBP. Animal Forest, as an N64 title, has advantages too because it allows you to show Nintendo was viewing player-creation, customization, and interaction as important far earlier in the game than Sony.

Dewey's adventure looks interesting. I think it will do well. LBP looks fantastic as well though, I just hope it can stay fresh.

And DQS is > DQ9 graphically... just sayin. But DQ9 > DQS so.... eh. DQS could still be a good game though.

Certain Wii games are not being hyped enough though.

If NiGHTS was being released on a next-gen Sega console then it would be hyped like Mario or Halo. The truth is that NiGHTS is a classic revival and the gameplay is well suited to the Wii. It really deserves much more hype than it is currently receiving.

The same goes for Zack & Wiki. IGN have said nothing but really amazing things about this game. It is the first true point & click adventure that has been announced in a long time.

Opps, I meant Mario Party 8. There are about a million mario games(Mario is pretty much all Nintendo has) so it's easy to get them confused.

NiGHTS into Dreams on the Sega Saturn was the best Sega IP since 2D sonic, in my very humble opinion. A truly fantastic game.

actually no its not at all.... Smash bros. has most of Nintendo's characters in it, and mario is 1/30th of the game. Mario party is all mario.

It's no different than Tony Hawk's Pro Skater having a park builder and a skater builder if you're referring to Dewey's Adventure. LBP and Animal Crossing are both social games, they both feature a great deal of customization, content generation, and interaction. If I was going against a Sony fan as a Nintendo fan, I would not rely on pushing Dewey's Adventure, when AC is a much stronger title. AC is in the correct genre, a proven seller, has received solid ratings, and features impressive stylized art (given the limtiations of the DS and N64).

Rely on Dewey's Adventure, and you're standing on a weak leg both because Elebits was such a shallow title, and because of the audience DA relies on. There's nothing inheriently wrong with making a game that a younger gamer can get into easily, but it isn't a title that generally can stand up against an art-title like LBP.

Mario Party is 1/14 Mario, it doesn't even concentrate on Mario. Mario is just... the name it uses to sell.

the numbers I put in that list are the score ranges. These guesses aren't perfect of course, but I could just as easily be undercutting some of these games' scores. GunSmith1_basic
