Wii Graphics as good as PS1??

Okay don't get me wrong or anything, I love Nintendo and everything but I feel they have been slacking on their graphics.

I know graphics aren't a big deal to most gamers, but to some they are. I am one who usually doesn't care about graphics but I

know the Wii can do better than this. I know they are still just getting use to the new programs they need to use for the Wii and it's

almost half a year since Wii was launched. Some games on the WIi looked very nice others looked like.....well...bad...

Dude?  Wii blows PS2 and DC out of the water and even exceeds the GC and Xbox.  Take a peek at Dewy's Adventure and SMG.  Conker does NOT blow away SMG.  I've seen shots of both, and SMG looks better.

and yes, Conker DOES blow away SMG (and conker does not have empty backgrounds), someone bring some screenshots please, and some of riddick, ninja gaiden and doom 3 for xbox so fanboys can stop denying reality

GoW II is beautiful, but go look at screens for Dewy's Adventure.  It beats it hands down.

The thing I see diffrent about GOWII and TP, is that Tp still has a few hexagon sort of figures in the characters and objects, God of War looks very smooth no squared off objects, but TP does have a little more details with ground and walls etc.

here's the thing. nintendo has stated again and again they are going for the gamer who wants fun and doesn't care about graphics so much. they don't want to be judged on the par of 360 and ps3, but in a whole other category.

you just showed us two of the known crappiest games for the wii so you could make this point.  you've officially lost any credibility at all owned in the first place by putting up like 7 pictures off ps1 to compare to two wii games

Seriously... This whole using screenshots thing has got to stop. The best-looking Dreamcast game looks better than the worst-looking 360 game. As much as it is about the hardware, a game is only as good as the people who programmed it. GoWII doesn't look good because of the PS2's outdated, obselete hardware. It looks good because after 7 years the best people know how to get the best out of it.

Sadly, the Gamecube got the shaft last generation in terms of people willing to push the hardware. You think all these developers coming out of the woodwork who cared less last generation are suddenly going to get it right the first time around on the Wii? For all intents and purposes, it's almost as if the Gamecube never existed. The best-looking Wii games are going to come from developers that made the best-looking Gamecube games. Everyone else is playing "catch up."
