Wii- Great System, not enough games

I got a Wii for christmas. It was awesome.

But here's the issue: There aren't enough games. I have Metroid Prime 3, SMG, and that's it. Could I buy VC games? Yes, but that would be like saying the PS3 has tons of AAA exclusives because of PSone Store, XBox 360 has tons of Variety because of XBLA.

The motion controls are great. The System is cool, silent, and reliable. The whole thing is fluid and well designed, not to mention Cheap. Miis are Fun. The Browser is nice. But I can't play anygames, on my game system! Yep there is the Big 3. I'll even in include Mario Kart. But their literally is nothing else to play. I don't care about party games, I don't pay 250 bucks for a contraption I only use 2 times a month for 3 hours. I want some real games, but their aren't any. I beat MP3 and SMG, and Now I'm stuck.

In my mind Wii has great games and not enouph system.

Everyone talks about its lack of HD but to me the lack of digital sound is far worse. The games sound just awfull.

Both the ps2 and the xbox supported dolby digital I thought it would just be a given for the Wii and was shocked when I got it home and I had to dig up some old analog cables for sound.

I think he said no party games, but Z&W, as well as RE4 are definitely worthwhile.

Here are some games for 2008 that I'm anticipating.

This list is good so far and it is just that was announced for early to mid 2008 they still didn't announce late 2008.

• Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon (Made by Tri-Cresendo they developed Eternal Sonata)
• Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land (Wii-Ware)
• Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle: The Crystal Bearers
• Endless Ocean (2nd Party since it is 3rd Party but the IP is a First Party title)
• Fatal Frame IV (Co-Developed By Grasshopper Manufacturer and Tecmo)
• Harvest Moon: Tree of Peace (If you like Harvest Moon you will like this game)
• Oboro Muramasa Youtouden (Made by Vanilla Ware makers of Odin Sphere)

• We Love Golf (Made by Camelot Software Planning makers of the first Hot Shots Golf game and the Mario Golf Published by Capcom)

Only one gameis not exclusive and this list doesn't even have Shovelware or Minigames or what would be considered Casual actually only one game might be considered Casual and it is Mario Baseball Sequal IMO.

I definitely concer with the recommendation of Zack and Wiki. This is a great game that uses the Wiimote controls better than just about any of the first-party titles.

Oh, and I can't wait for Fatal Frame 4! This series puts the "horror" in Survial Horror more than Resident Evil ever has.

Nintendo excells at making some of its first party games, but they have not evolved at all. We should expect more from nintendo though, considering how the developers dont have to worry about stuff like voice acting or mo-cap.

Great games that are out dated.

The Wii is worth owning for me just for those two or three games every year on it that I will want to play. But the quality is last gen quality if not worse. The sound for the Wii is almost a full decade out of date. Must be nice for nintendo never having to take any risks.

I have actually already bought almost as many games for my Wii as I did for my Gamecube.

Witch baffles me becouse its not a high tech system. I dont understand why they are having trouble producing enouph units.

But when you do get one just be prepared for to not live up to the hype.

Nintendo is a great puzzle maker, thats it. Zelda is just a puzzle game... the dungeons are puzzles, the boss are puzzles, and once you have it figured out its painfully easy.

Other game makers actually have to worry about stuff like mo-cap and voice acting, nintendo just conitnues to make puzzles that are very clever, but only hack it for gamers who think games are just **** and giggles. God forbid they should make a game that takes a risk with content, just make more clever puzzles.

Get Fire Emblem RD if you like awesome hardcore srpg's. I don't care if it scored 6.0 here four out of five people will tell you that review was straight garbage. Imo it's the best rpg out this year easily. Zack & Wiki, Medal of Honor, Nights, SPM, and the two Trama Center games, and No More Heroes is just around the corner. Plenty of great games for the Wii right there.

Get a secondary system and a DS and you should be happy.

Its also not for people who like gaming tech.

Although if you are like me you may just have to spend some quality time with the controler before you form an opinion. The controler is why I bought the Wii and its cool enouph I managed to finish zelda TP. None of the games on the system would be worh playing if the controler was not such a novelty for me.

Have you tried battalion wars, zack and wiki, twilight princess, mario strikers, RE4 or the trauma centres? There is plenty to play.
