Using rounding to the nearest .5, this is the result if all reviews this generation on consoles were made using the current ratings system:
Wii - 5 AAA's
+ Virtual Console - 1 AAA
Total: 6 AAA's (6 Exclusives)
X360 - 12 AAA's
+ Xbox Live Arcade - None
Total: 12 AAA's (5 Exclusives)
NOTE: Counting Gears Of War as a non-exclusive makes it 4 exclusives for X360.
PS3 - 3 AAA's
+ Playstation Network - None
Total: 3 AAA's (1 Exclusive)
Average number of AAA's per day (Using US launch date):
Wii - 0.02597 (231 days)
X360 - 0.02024 (593 days)
PS3 - 0.01288 (233 days)
NOTE: Without counting Virtual Console:
Wii - 0.02165 (231 days)
It is interesting to note that using conversion (which makes it fair to compare scores from the old ratings system) the Wii has the most AAA's on average per day from launch date, even if the Virtual Console is not included in the calculation.
Sure, I'm a Nintendo fanboy, but unless I've forgotten something, this is fair. Say so if I've missed something.elektrixxx
The only thing you've forgotten is that the AAA titles on the Wii wouldn't have gotten an AAA rating on any of the other systems it's competing with, becaues the reviewers would knock those games for "poor graphics" if they looked exactly the same on the 360 or PS3.
So, it's comparing apple's to oranges, when you think about it.

I don't really get what you're sayin, but if a multiplat title looks as good on the Wii as it does on a 360 or PS3 it'd get a high graphics rating considering the hardware.
I think Gamespot would round down a score maybe... but definitely not up. That's just a user created thought.Fyper
Yeah, it is impossible to tell if the scores would have been rounded down or rounded up if gamespot would have reviewed them with the new system. I'm sorry but we just have to stick with known AAA and not user created AAA.
Even IF you were rounding things up, you docked the PS3 of 1 AAA.
Oblivion
Resistance
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Rainbow 6
Kinitari
Resistance got 8.6, it would round down.
Last time I checked:
PS3: 3 AAA's, 17 AA's
360: 4 AAA's, 18 AA's
Wii: 2 AAA's, 7 AA's

No he didn't it's 8.8 and higher = AAA. Do people not know how to round numbers?
6 AAA titles... isn't it funny that you do not actually need a Wii to play 50% of them? Come on...siafni
FAILURE.
Look at the amount of AAA exclusives for other consoles. they have less compared to the total amount. Your comment would apply more so for the other consoles.

My fault, I think I confused resistance's score one one website for this ones (thought it was 8.9 here).

You rush into writing failure nd fail to explain how what I posted is not accurate, not to speak of how this could apply to he other consoles.

Want to compare AAAEs and AAEs? No, I didn't think so.

FAILURE 2.0
You didn't read my first failure post. You don't need one of the other consoles to play 50% of their AAA's either. In fact, if you were to round things off as I've had, there's more AAA exclusives for the Wii.
Wow...not only is that using some arbitrary rounding system, but it also uses averages based on a very short time frame.
The Wii will have the most AAA's over the next 5 years, PC being second, PS3 3rd and 360 in last at the end of it all. DSgamer64
Thats some great crystal ball work there.

So zelda tp would have gotten 8.5 instead of 9??? Bull. It would have had to get 9/10, anything lower than 8.8 would have gotten jeff fired instantly.

If anything, it would have been re-rated. He would not have been fired. And since rounding won't happen, we will never know, will we?
Even IF you were rounding things up, you docked the PS3 of 1 AAA.actually r fom is round to 8.5 because r:fom got a 8.6 on the old review system and since the new review system rounds games to the nearst .5 then r:fom would have gotten a 8.5
Oblivion
Resistance
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Rainbow 6
Kinitari
Your post fails because you assume every game rated 8.5 would be rounded up, and you can't say that's the case.
Honestly, this thread is so biased and the logic is so backward I don't know how anybody is taking it seriously.

I'd like you to tell me how you know this.
Dude, don't ask him. He doesn't know. A spy from Nintendo injected a chip into his cerebellum and he automatically pulls random junk out his head and spouts it as fact.
no he is saying since of the new review system every game that is a 8.8-8.9 is rounded up to an aaa and how is this biasedYour post fails because you assume every game rated 8.5 would be rounded up, and you can't say that's the case.

The same "rounding system" is used on all consoles, so it is completely fair. I fail to see the problem.

Yes, but AAA games are 9.0 or above. Not only is that System Wars rules, but it's not logical to round up scores to 9 just because of the new rating system. If it was an 8.7 then, it's an 8.7 now. The reason why you used this rounding system was probably becuase you wanted to make your argument stronger, am I right? Well it sure helps to favour the Wii, but whatever way you twist it, the PS3 still has more AAA games, whether you like it or not.

They may not have got the same score with the same graphics, but look at it this way:
Take Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. The game might be using 90% of the power of the Wii, but the exact same game on the PS3 would only be using 30% of the power of the console. Therefore (under the old system), Gamespot would have rated graphics for the game on the Wii 9 out of 10, but the same game as being on the PS3 3 out of 10.
BUT, a game on the PS3 SHOULD look better, thus the different scores. If reviewers know the Wii can push only a certain amount of graphics, then they will review accordingly. Also should be noted that a normal PS3 game would cost $10million to develop, which would mean the game should be looking good ...

I know what you mean, but the thing is, should one game be penalised in score (ie Twilight Princess) just because it was released earlier then a game of exactly the same quality but got rated AAA just because they decided to change the rating system half-way through a generation?[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"]So we want to round up? Heh, the PC now has like 12. 0_osmokeydabear076I guess so.
I love it when people say the PC, it's only one platform with no competition thus no games can be exclusive to a certain OS, add all the AAA's and AA's from all 3 consoles *only counting mutliplats for once* on Gamerankings the consoles have MORE AAA's and AA's. Now that's. O_o Worthy. ;)
