Games are inherently kiddy, but I'm 41 and I bought Viva Piniata today. I've heard from a lot of people that it is totally underrated and gets rock hard, so I'm looking forward to it stealing hours of my life...just like my DS does.

great reply seriously, the wii can appeal to everyone, just because you can't be basiclly a vegetable while playing doesn't mean it's only for little kids.

maybe you should give capcom a call since you seem to know more about nintendos demographic than they do?

capcom:By and large, I don't see the Wii being home to a sizeable mature playerbase outside of some of the early adopters. I see it as being very, very broad with a family focus. If there is a "core player base" on Wii (and it might be so broad, there might be no such thing as "core"), within two years, it will probably be largely a younger player

Either way, it's for everyone regardless. Even if it might still appeal more to kids. Though, i doubt children waited outside in the cold with 250$ in their pockets for it :P

Yea I've pretty much given up on Capcom at this point.  Most of the other major developers are hopping on the Wii boat quickly though.

Not many people read the follow-up...
I'd much rather have a game like Okami over Lost Planet anyways.
