Many Wii games rely on a different class of graphical power that most game developers overlook these days because they're too amused by cramming as many polygons into one game as possible for technical graphics.
What makes Wii somewhat different that most of the good games use artistic graphics, where the game is not all about the polygons, but how it's put together with artistic perspectives that can make the games look aboslutely beautiful.
Gameplay isn't all about graphics, but there are still some stunning games on the Wii that you can't ignore just because it's not HD.
This is coming from a guy who loves his 360 games in HD, but I simply cannot deny that - although Wii isn't as powerful, it has a lot of great looking games for what they're meant to look like, nonetheless.

Overrated? Me and a friend of mine played SSBBrawl for 28 straight hours after it came out. We wreaked ourselves with energy drinks and snacks to stay awake and ended up thrashing the crap out of the game (metaphorically). We only took time to stop for bathroom breaks and a few naps that lasted half an hour.'

Is that because it gives you the option to use the GCN controller? If that's your reason, I'm sorry but including the GCN controller in SSBB is basically Sakurai being generous to the gamers.
How many people that actually own GCN controllers prefer any control over the GCN controller? Not to many... Sakurai was aware that the GCN controller was the best way to go, but he couldn't ignore the people who didn't have any. So the Wii controls were included too.

Besides, SSBB is a big game for the Wii and the disk was packed to the rim with it's content.
If it was to be on the GCN, that would mean a seriously downgraded Smash Bros. Brawl with GCN graphics, fewer characters, stages, songs, modes, etc.

the 360's/ps3s main draw is High Definition gaming, but yet COD4 is not even HD (less than 720p). (halo 3 for 360, army of two for ps3 are also not in HD)

If anything the 360 is over-rated. It gets praised by having inferior PC ports and games that are vastly inferior to their PC counterparts (Forza meet GTR, Halo meet any FPS made in the past 10 years). Not to mention that it's online gets praised for being amazing when it's inferior to PC's online in everyway. Sure it has some gems like Ninja Gaiden II and Lost Odyessy. But the fact that it's seen as to some as "the greatest gaming console in years" or even "all-time" is just ridiculous.Gunraidan
