Wii is more powerfull than Xbox........proof with PICS (56K Warning)

Well, here they are....

And except Ninja Gaiden, the rest of the pics are low res 480 resolution. Not widescreen, like the Xbox can display them in. And I took a mix of quality low res, and crappy pics, just as a comparison.

Face it, Wii, graphically, SUCKS.

All of these games look far better on my Sony WEGA HDTV in 16:9, than what I have shown in this thread. 

So, you're 100% right, they do not represent what the games actually look like. Not only that, but Otogi 2 display in 720p, among other few games...

I think the point is that the Wii has bad graphics. 

You know, regardless of how persuasive your argument is, you'll always have diehards saying things like "those weren't launch games" or "those weren't launch window games" or "let's see how Wii games look in their 2nd/3rd/nth generation."  They do have a point, but then I think most hardcore players will agree that we should expect more improvement from a generational leap than the Wii is used to  display, in practice--who cares about theoretical limits?  We don't play specs, we play games.

 
What if the Super Nintendo had no games that looked better (or which all looked substantially worse) than the best-looking games on the SEGA Master System?  What if the N64 had no games that looked better than the best-looking games on the Neo-Geo?  What if the GC had no games that looked better than the best-looking games on PlayStation 1?  And so on.

Worse yet, in my opinion, there are many more XBox games than these five that are yet to be topped graphically on Wii, at least in their respective genres.  Think DoA4, Burnout: Revenge, Panzer Dragoon: Orta, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Fable, and a bunch of others.

You do know that every time someone makes a Wii has bad graphics thread or comment. It is a bit deeper then that. Wii has craphics worse the a Xbox is short hand for the following.

You pay $250 for a console with worst graphics then a last gen $50-$99 console. The main difference that has overall effect on all the games is the controller. In other words you are paying $250 for a controller, with an overclocked and slightly upgraded GC with some extra software.

You're exactly right. It's not like saying, in the last generation, that PS2 and GC had worse graphics than XBox; because those consoles were similarly priced, and they were available during the same generation. But for the Wii to show worse visuals than the six-year-old XBox--which you can pick up now for around a hundred bucks, with all the games shown in these screenshot costing between $10 and $20--is actually much worse. Wii costs more than XBox has cost in a long, long time, and its visuals look pretty primitive compared to what we saw years ago on XBox, and only a little better than what we saw years ago on GC.

What's the difference? The controller. It means that if you bought XBox in its late life (as I did), even though the Wii costs two and a half times as much as a console you already have, its appeal at this time lies entirely in Zelda and tilty controls. Well, it's a shrewd move by Nintendo and it's paying off; loads of people are horny for Wii, and it's clearly super-cheap to make, and sold at a price well above its cost of manufacture. I wonder if the Wii's appeal will last, though.

You can't compare a PowerPC to a (pretty much) Pentium III.  Raw numbers stopped mattering a long time ago.  The only thing Xbox has on Wii in hardware is built in shader support and a hard drive.

Graphics aren't a hardware feature also...unless you have SOFTWARE to show it...

The ethernet port is not Xbox Live itself.  And actually you brought up something that Xbox has and Wii lacks.  However, Wii does have WiFi, which is nice.

 You're right about the second statement.  I talked about the hardware, not how a game looks.  But in terms of hardware, as in the actual CPU, RAM, etc, Wii seems superior minus the built in shaders (Which means devs have to do those things themselves).

I don't really care as long as I have a game I can enjoy. Oh, and I'd like to see you post 5 Xbox RELEASE games. There is a difference. Otogi does not look that good, and why don't you wait about 2-3 years before comparing? You are comparing launch games to games that came out for the Xbox 2-3 years throughout its lifespand.wapahala

Their basic argument is that a more powerful system should show better looking games anyways.  They're also forgetting that we know Wii's technical improvement isn't as drastic as 360's or PS3's, and that many of the games at launch were being rushed as usual, or used GC dev kits.  Add to that the numerous PS2 ports and suddenly Wii games on average look worse than GC games.

I honestly haven't touched the Wii I have in over 2 months. My 360 gets daily usage. The only person that actually pulls the Wii out of hybernation mode in my house is my 7 year old son -- so at least its not a complete waste of my money. KingTuttle

We already know that the gap between PS2 and PS3 is much larger than the gap between GC and Wii.  We also know that devs are generally being lazy on Wii, and while this does look like a lame excuse, it's true.  There are way too many PS2 ports or half assed games on the Wii.
