Wii is more powerfull than Xbox........proof with PICS (56K Warning)

Their basic argument is that a more powerful system should show better looking games anyways.  They're also forgetting that we know Wii's technical improvement isn't as drastic as 360's or PS3's, and that many of the games at launch were being rushed as usual, or used GC dev kits.  Add to that the numerous PS2 ports and suddenly Wii games on average look worse than GC games. 

This happens to all consoles in the beginning. The devs need time to experiment with the console and its upps and downs.

 All I'm saying is that you should wait a few years before comparing games.

We already know that the gap between PS2 and PS3 is much larger than the gap between GC and Wii. We also know that devs are generally being lazy on Wii, and while this does look like a lame excuse, it's true. There are way too many PS2 ports or half assed games on the Wii.

Where did I say it's easy to develop in all of this :|  But it is easy to develop for, simply because of lower development costs, because of the lower level hardware.

I've already stated some reasons why some Wii games are lacking, in graphics or otherwise. Easy development doesn't always mean that every game is going to be stellar, it just means that more support is probable.

Not really.  As I said, I missed the ethernet port, but Xbox Live is not the ethernet port itself.  I never tried to say that graphics were a hardware feature, I was talking about the chips and things themselves.  I already made a post about this.

All these 'but teh Wii just launched' comments are getting annoying, because it's no excuse for the system's graphics.

Those excuses didn't have to be made for the Xbox 360 or the PS3. They didn't have to be made the generation before for any of the systems. Maybe some games had bad graphics on their systems, such that they looked like games on old consoles. But there always was at least one game that demonstrated that the system had better graphics than those that came in the generation before.

You can pull the "but wait 1/2/3/infinity years" or the "the developers are lazy" excuses all you want, but it won't change the fundamental fact of the matter, which is that the Wii's graphical power is only marginally better than that of the Gamecube. If sheep could just accept this, and actually argue the strengths of the console, they'd have a more constructive argument.

A. The Wii is a current-gen console, just like the PS3 and Xbox 360.

B. The Wii is only slightly more powerful than the Gamecube.

I know I'm being idealistic, as people on SW will argue over anything, however small, but just some acceptance of the facts will go miles towards having productive discussion.

One of the best Racing games of all times IMO. I'm still waiting for a BC update, because I've kept mine.

In many area's the GC was stronger than the Xbox.  On numbers alone, the GC obviously couldn't compete, but the GC was the first console to use PowerPC archetecture, which is now standard because it is very, very efficient.  If the GC could compete with the Xbox in some areas (look at wrestling games on both systems) then surely the Wii will be able to outclass it.  Regardless, the Wii could have been so much more and I feel nintendo have shot themselves in the foot as far as hardware is concerned.  Making unimaginitive, uncompetitive hardware is as bad as making a lame, standard controller imo.

OK, enough.  I hate how ALLLLL sheep simply push aside graphics as they're not important.  They are important to many people and I like playing good games that look good also.

 And why in the f'ing world do all sheep seem to think that "Oh since the Wii has the Wii-mote it automatically has the best gameplay!!  This is absolutely ridiculous and you have been brainwahsed by Nintendo or something.  The Wii-mote doesn't ALWAYS produce the best gameplay.  And if it did.................Well then answer me this.  Why do you have to own a different controller to play SSBB (one of the biggest if not the biggest game coming out for the Wii) and why does Paper Mario not take advantage of the Wii-mote either. 

These games are extremely hyped (AAA of course) and....wait.....what is this.....Uh-oh, two of the biggest games for the Wii  not using the Wii-mote (WHICH IS THE MAIN SELLING POINT OF THE SYSTEM AND THE REASON YOU BUY A WII).  They're gameplay is gonna really suck huh......You might as well be playing a Gamecube.
