Wii isn't really a main console?

Does anyone else get this impression from the Wii?

While I enjoy my Wii, I can't imagine playing it as my main console. To me it fits in more as an "Accessory Console", there's only a few games on the console that I find worth playing, but the ones that are worth playing are pretty fun. At the same time though, it doesn't even begin to compare to the options I would find on a PS3 or a 360.

For example, if I had to pick one console out of the three and I could only play this console for an entire year, I wouldn't even dream of picking the Wii, and it would be between either the PS3 or the 360. Not because it's a bad console, but just because it seems lacking when compared to the other two, as far as a main console would go.

After owning a 360 since November and owning a Wii since launch - I can say Wii is still my main console. I've played everything I wanted to on my 360 and the only game I'm waiting for is Assassin's 2 and I'm going to be renting BioShock 2 and MW2, the rest of my time gaming is with my Wii.

Wii is more like an appetizer or even a side dish. PS3 and 360 are the main course ;)

I can't imagine myself using a Wii for an amount of time that's anywhere near how much I use my 360 or PC, but that's just me. I'm sure plenty of people spend the majority of their time on the Wii.

Actually the more I think about it the more I realize the libraries are not comparable.

Wii's library offers titles totally different than those on the PS3/360. I think it just comes down to someones personal preference.

I went one step further and sold mine in late 2007 (who can say no to profit!), VERY glad a did. MAJOR games drought since then. thegoldenpoo

Well other than Zelda not being an RPG and Mad World being way to short to be your main game....y'know what forget, not even close. :lol:

I can see some people maining with a Wii. My Best friend does. I probably could, but only if more first party games are released.

My Wii is my main console and my PS3 is my secondary. It all depends in taste in games. I prefer to be able tplay as many interesteing games as possible. I'd have a 360 as well, if I didn't have a mortgage to pay.

I agree, Wii was my first next gen console. I felt I was not being satisfied with the games so I bought a PS3. I sold the wii and got me an xbox360 and that was the best decision I made

You seem to associate blood, gore, profanity and sex with fun. Not always the case.

I lived with a Wii as my main console for two years, and it never did me any harm :| Now I have a PS3, I still consider the Wii my primary console, because there are more must-buy games on it, whereas Im content with renting stuff for the higher spec machine.

This generation, I dont think I could live without the Wii, even though Im enjoying the other platforms too.

I prefer precision and reliability in my games so most of my gaming is done on PC and PS3. The one thing I love about the Wii is that when I have friends over we can actually play together, since Ps3 doesn't have many local multi player games. other than that it just sits on the shelf only for my girlfriend to play animal crossing for 30 minutes a day.

So THAT'S what Tales of Vesperia, Disgaea 3, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, Infinite Undiscovery, Valkyria Chronicles, The Last Remnant, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Street Fighter IV, Soul Calibur IV, Civiliaztion Revolution, Final Fantasy XIII, Lost Odyssey, White Knight Chronicles, Eternal Sonata, and Banjo Kazooie were about!!

I switch main consoles all the time. The months when Zelda, Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, Zack and Wiki, MadWorld, No More Heroes, Brawl, Deadly Creatures, World of Goo, RE4, etc. came out, the Wii was front and center and I didn't touch my 360 or PC for weeks. The opposite happens when other fantastic titles come out.

Anyone who has only 1 main console isn't experiencing everything the other console has to offer.

Where do I even begin? Wii is ruining the gaming industry to the point that people like you are actually HATING on hardcore games. This needs to stop, people. The big three console companies are forgetting the true nature of the industry in favor of the cazzie market. I don't care what your favorite console company is, if we don't act now, they'll all forget the gamer and gaming will become a thing of the past because the year's biggest releases will all be stuff like Barbie games. It's already happened to Nintendo, now the Wii can't even be CALLED a gaming console anymore. If we don't act now, soon Sony and Microsoft will abandon us, too. Are we just going to let CAZZIES destroy the industry, or are we going to fight back? You can't be serious.None of those games you mentioned hold a candle to alternatives on the other platforms.And I love how sheep are always trying to say that all everybody else wants is blood and cursing, but yet they hype Madworld, which is one of the most offensive games I've seen in a while.

I havent played a system so much since the Snes, the Wii is one hell of a console.
