Selling out is more like abandgoing from real metal to crap nu-metal or metalcorejust to get more sales and be more mainstream.

Megadeth went downhill and started to suck after Cowntdown to Extinction and Metallica burned out and started sucking hard after the Black album, so bad analogies all around in my opinion.

Metallica's first albums were great, but all of the songs are really overplayed. I don't enjoy the albums anymore after hearing the same songs over and over again on radio.
Rust in Piece hasn't been played too much and that's why I love it.
I can't believe anyone would put Megadeth above Metallica. Metallica was after all where Dave Mustain got his start and was kicked out because he just didn't cut it. Every time after he was kicked out he continued to speak badly about the guy who replaced him, Kirk Hammet. Don't get me wrong I like a couple of their songs but their glory days are no where near the glory days of Metallica.
Wait. Are you suggesting that Megadeth didn't sell out? To be honest, their more recent albums have been... lacking. No. They suck. They've sucked since Youthanasia. Metallica also lacked, but load and reload are very good albums... if you remove metallica from it, and insert som hard rock band.
