Metallica's first albums were great, but all of the songs are really overplayed. I don't enjoy the albums anymore after hearing the same songs over and over again on radio.

Rust in Piece hasn't been played too much and that's why I love it.

Yeah me to here in Denmark. The lesson is: Stop listening to the radio, its crap. Form your own taste in music not what other simple minded fools like, and because we have so many idiots walking around liking s**t music it is played on the radio all the time. I haven't turned on the radio in years.

Or you could say Metallica evolved it's music to avoid the curse that many many other bands of their time have gotten.That curse is going from playing sold out shows in huge arenas to backwoods county fairs to entertain the drunks in the beer garden.

BTW I prefer Metallicas old stuff anyday to the newer stuff, but you have to admit it has kept them afloat a lot longer than the bands that continue to play to the same audience they did twenty years ago.

Um not really. Megadeth came back from the Risk album and band break up to produce three more kick A$$ albums. Metallica now just tries to make it on their brand name and not the quality of their music.Darthmatt

Risk IMO is one of the best albums ever
