Wii not the Console King.

What usually used to happen , back then the console with better games is the one sold most...sure N64 had some of what is considered best games ever, but overall ps1 had better collection, so it is on ps2, and in every era for the winner...

This console, its not fair to judge by sales because it does not reflect the quality of games on each console because nintendo broke those rules.

what nintendo made is take people who would usually watch a NFL match and made them buy tickets to the

next fashion show in paris, they are getting people outside of the pool.

It is definitely not winning gamers, think about it. Zelda, kart, party, metroid, and heck RE4 is a gamecube really, but none of these games gave an edge for the gamecube last gen. As a matter of fact they turned out last as far as I know. Yet this generation those sequels are beaten the crap out of xbox and ps3 in amazing sales. This shows you just how many people who are NOT gamers are buying this console as a novelty just because of the motion-control on wii sport.

Now nintendo is smart to get people to buy from outside the pool, and maybe thanked to provide fun time to those people who are looking to press a button and feel this game is complex and gives amazing great time, it sure is business...

but let us not forget that gaming is an art , and content matters, usually good content would sell most...but rules have been broken.

If scary movie sold more copies than the godfather, it means more people bought it to laugh, but quality wise its crap and non-sense, and godfather would always be better for those who appreciate movies.

If you think that the industry must follow sales, then get ready to see more movies like scary-movie, evil-dead, van wilder, and less movies like Titanic, Godfather, and gone with the wind...because this is what you believe in.

To be fair, sales is actually determined by total sales revenue, which means Microsoft is winning. Nexgenwars.com (as accurate or inaccurate as it may be), lists number of consoles sold for the 360 at 19.7 million and Wii sales at 22.6. Given that the Wii has remained a constant $250, that means it's generated 5.65 billion (only the console. The 360, which for arguments sake we will price at $350 since that's a pretty decent average of all the prices the console has had, has generated 6.895 billion, over a billion dollars more than the Wii.The_Fell_One
