By calling the wii a toy, I was suggesting that it was targeting a more casual, and younger audience. I don't want to use kiddy, because not everyone that has/plays one is a child. It's just when I think of the wii, I think of some kids playing wii sports or something. It's just the image I get. I dunno, it's very hard to explain without sounding like I'm bashing the wii, cause I'm really not trying to. I mean, none of this really even matters, because the wii is still outselling bread and toilet paper by 2:1.

Anyway, I don't really know, all I know is that I don't precieve the Wii in the same way I see the other consoles. It is seemingly in a ****of it's own. It's not very high-tech, its games are mostly shovelware. (but mostly means 51%+) and it's just not competitive in the terms of online, graphics, physics, HD, HDD, and all the other things it's lacking. It is just the wii. It's a little funbox that makes both kids and adults giggle whilst remembering their childhood or something. Whatever floats your boat. :P

you see... when I imagine someone play ps3 I imagine an imature teenager wearing baggy clothes who thinks shooting people is cool. Either that or a small 12 year old kid who wants to be considered teh coolz because he plays games with blood and cars in them.

When I imagine someone play a wii I imagine:

old school hardcore gamers playing metroid and zelda

some retired folks playing wii bowling

some adults coming back to gaming or trying it for the first time

parents playing video games for the first time with their kids

girls playing and enoying video games

a bunch of drunk college kids having a blast

a group of friends duking it out in multiplayer games such as smash, wii sports, mario kart, etc

[QUOTE="Nintendo_Ownes7"][QUOTE="MikeE21286"]Your title is an oxymoron.papa_smurf_23

No it isn't the Wii Launched in Japan on December 7th (I think) and its launch title Pokemon Battle Revolution had Online, also Elebits here was online you couldn't verse people but you could create maps and trade the maps you created.

how many people actually go online that own a Wii...less than what 2% maybe. Just because it is an option doesn't mean it actually exists.

:|

look beyond the black and white of it and you will see I'm right.

Brawl is the ONLY game ive seen even remotely hyped for online.....AND IT HAS NO HEADSET,NO RANKING,NO STATS,NO nothing, you play with strangers but nothing is recorded so its like nothing happened. lolol wat a joke.

the only thing keeping Nintendo from having good online is headsets......HarlockJC
The thing keeping them from good online is Nintendo. They don't seem to quite grasp the importance of it.

Stereotypes FTL.

The Wiis online still does not compared to PSN let alone XBL. I wish Nintendo would have just stuck friend codes with the DS and actually use a name you can register like on XBL or PSN. I haven't played much online Wii games myself (just Super Mario Strikers) but not being able to add friends to your friends list that you just played really sucks and the same with no voice chat.
