Wii only owners aren't core gamers.

the reason many of these games are made for the wii is because of exclusive deals, or developers choosing to develop for the system because it has the largest install base. Im pretty sure if the wii didnt exist, they just wouldve made their game for one of the other consoles

No, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't. And dear god, I hope you are not trying to tell me Nintendo is money hatting titles llike these? Fact of the matter is you can't prove that they would exist and this is all what ifs. We have what exists now so trying to discredit it won't get you anywhere.

Nintendo is probably the most hardcore out of the three....I think the older gamers can agree with me on that. ;)

Going by that logic, PC gamers are the only core gamers.....

I don't play games for reality. I play games to actully have some fun. Tech is good but it is not nessary.

By that logic ALL console gamers are not core gamers. Only PC gamers with high en rigs are core gamers, because PCs blow your PC wannabe consoles out of the water. How does it feel casual?

I have a Wii, 360, ps3, DS, and PC, yet I don't consider myself a core gamer, and I will never be one. the term "Core Gamer" is created to justify addiction to games and lack of success in real life.mithrixx

i cant beleive you people are arguing against me. Its pretty freaking obvious, that if the wii didnt exist, then developers would focus their efforts on the other consoles. The only ones that only exist because of the wii are shovelware casual games that companies decided to make to cater to the majority of the install base. (Mario galaxy is sweet tho, but could of been on gamecube). If you wii owners didnt care about graphical advancement why not just stick with gamecube? Dont you realize that nintendo just remarketed old tech with motion control that doesnt offer as much precision as a mouse or the immersion of good graphics.

because clearly wii owners only care about the games right? why else would they buy the wii, which now costs more than a 360?

I'll explain.... I consider myself a core gamer, I've been playing for 26+ years and gaming is my biggest hobby. I currently own a Wii, 360, PC & DS.... which gives me access to ALOT of games that I just wouldn't be able to play if I only owned a Wii.

Someone might argue that a 360 or PS3 only gamer isn't core either.... but I'd disagree, considering that the library of the 360 & PS3 far outweighs the Wii's library in core games.

The Wii for me is a secondary console.... it allows me to have access to Nintendos 1st party..... if something good comes down the pipeline from 3rd party, GREAT!.... If not... oh well, I still have Mario, Zelda & Metroid. Which is the real reason I bought a Wii to begin with.

I think i just wish nintendo went third party, cause this the reason why people cling onto old hardware right, those mario/zelda/metriod games? Third party nintendo would be prime, and just as cheap to play.

No, im trying to figure out if wii owners care about graphics are not. Beacuse clearly you people are fine with lowquality visuals, so would it of mattered to you if the wii had ps1 graphics? If mario galaxy, metroid, and TP were still there, no biggie right?

im come to the conclusion that wii owners paid $300 not because they felt it made sense to pay half the price of a ps3 for the half the visual quality, but rather they dont care about visual quality at all and just need their fix of mario/metroid/zelda. These people wouldnt care if nintendo never released another console as long as they kept supporting the wii with these first party games.
