Wii owners jealous? :)

I thought GTA III was amazing, Loved VC, and though SA was great, but not as good as VC XD... but I have mo intrest in GTA IV, because it's GTA III upgraded.

Sure it's going to be awsome, sure it looks amazing, but I don't care because GTA III wowed me because of how amazing that game was for the time... GTA IV doesn't have that same wow effect, and so I don't have as much instrest... It's been done before and it's too played out for me to get all hyped over it.

That said I'll probly buy and love the game before the end of this generation.

LOL you should it a great game and it cheap..... He talks about GTA and it amazing how many kids in his 3rd grade class are huge Halo or GTA fans and have never played a Mario game. Which is funny if you think of half of the arguments on this board.

If the story is as depressing as the IGN review states, it might be worth my attention. Otherwise, a large, resounding "meh."

Besides, the Wii owners had best game last year, and did you cry yourself to sleep at night because you couldn't play it?

Besides GTAIV isn't going to win game of the year... unless the rest of this year really sucks... GTAIII was really really amazing for when it came out and didn't win Goty...

1) since they know it wasnt going to be on the Wii in the first place and 2) most people who have a wii have a ps3 and or 360. and 3) not everybody is 17, because the stores are cracking down with the age limits nowadays:roll:

I have never purchased a GTA game for my PS2, Xbox, or PC. I did however play GTA game one time at my cousin's house, and didn't really find it to be my cup of tea. (sorry, but not everyone has the same taste in games)

It did, but back then they had a console GOTY (GTAIII) and PC GOTY (Serious Sam).

well a 4 year old would a little trouble setting up a wifi connection and filling out the forms i would think. plus with how protective our society is getting and nintendo being the "for kids" console its no wonder the parents are setting up all the connections and making the purchase. use your head. its main demographic may be older people but thats only becuase the younger either aren't capable or just aren't allowed(parents choosing what games and such the kid can play)

I own a 360, but no, I don't plan to buy it. I have a plethora of rich casual friends who will buy the game, and I will eventually be able to steal a copy from one of them and play it a few months later. They're fun, but not really my thing. Give me some goomba-stomping, bros-brawling, kart-racing any day. Besides, do you think it's impossible for Cows and Lemmings to be jealous of Brawl, SMG, NMH, Mario Kart Wii, Z+W, and more? Or is there some sort of quality vaccum that makes it so only Wii owners are capable of enjoying Wii games because otherwise, they'd be bad games? :roll:

And best game of the year? That is easily debatable. Just like how people thought Halo 3 would be GOTY.

I just recall a lot of sheep accusing others of not liking games at all if they do not want to play the GoTY. Because SMG was so great and people would say "it is not my kind of game" and the sheep would pounce. Now some are saying the same thing about GTA.

But, best since Ocarina of Time, best game we have played in a decade? (the IGN review said both) Those are pretty tall statements. I will have to play it myself. But I wonder how other critics will react. If it comes out like that across the board it does indeed sound like the game to beat this generation.

My crystal ball is in the shop but if yours is working fine I will take your word for it. I will need to play it myself. But I have not read a review so bold as to say "best game in a decade".... well, I do not recall a review that said that.

Edit: not best in genre either. Go read the review for yourself and see if I am wrong. But he clearly stated best game in a decade.

Yeah I guess I am kind of jealous as I'm sure the game will be amazing

But I have plenty of wii games to complete and am going to buy MK Wii soon so I'm sure I'll be fine

GTA franchise died after #3 came on out! I expect this to be as much of a let down as previous encounters after number 3.
