I own a Wii and 360. Every time I go back to playing 360 after Wii, I feel like I'm using an archaic contraption of a controller. Don't get me wrong. The 360 controller feels great and might be the best "standard" controller out there. However, after long bouts with Wii controller, the 360 controller just seems so much less immersive.

When I play GeOW, I think to myself how much better it would be with Wii controls. Oblivion would be amazing with Wii controls. Just for laughs, I put in RE4 for GC just to compare to the RE4 Wii Edition I bought. It felt terrible on GC controller. Aiming was so slow and clunky.

Wii has worse graphics than 360 and PS3. However, it does have better gameplay, and that is what matters most.

I didn't like the wiimote at all. I prefer traditional controllers. I played Twilight Princess on the Wii, and honestly, i preferred playing it on my GameCube. But that is just me of course, people seen to like the wiimote.

Depends on what you've played.. that's one of the BIG things that separates the good Wii games from the bad.

Games like Trauma Center and Resident Evil 4 make great use of the wiimote.

Zelda does a decent job..

Red Steel, Call of Duty and the like completely crapped out on us though.

Wether or not Wii's controls are better is purely subjective. I prefer buttons and joysticks, myself.

I have to agree. I find the wiimote and nunchuk combination to be great. It's a little hard going back to the traditional controller.

not really. the wiimote is more like an arcade like experince. i remeber going to the arcade when i was youngerand had a blast. 10 dollers at the arcade went along way. wii gives an arcade like experince and that is why it is better then the other systems. i say that the wii is more archaic because it offers a fun expreince like the arcades of ysteryear

I wouldn't say they're archaic, but I do prefer IR (pointer) stuff. The motion control, devs need to take better advantage of that before it becomes really revolutionary. It'll happen tho, I think.

I know what you mean, after playing a wii game then going back to my 360, the 360 controller feels weird in my hands and a bit uncomfortable.

How the heck does one system have better gameplay than another system? Gameplay is dependent on the game, not on the console.

Probably would have been better to say that the Wii is capable of gameplay just as the 360/PS3 are capable of better graphics.

I don't think thats nitpicky at all. I don't see any reason why the Wii should be associated with gameplay anymore than the PS3 or 360 should be.

I tried playing a fps on cube after I had been playing the wii and I couldn't for the life of me play. Trying to aim and shoot something was terrible. I used to be really good at RE4 (gamecube) and Timesplitters.

Truly the wii remote is the next step. The first company to combine Wii controls, wii-like price tag, with great graphics will be a true nextgen console.

I think it's just the use of the controller. Avid sounds like myself, knowing how much potential the Wiimote has to games that exist already. More to the point First-person type games.

It's mearly an observational preference. No one's that dense to say the PS3 and 360 can't be associated with gameplay... Right? :?

Strange, after that time I played Zelda on the Wii for a few hours I went and played MGS2 on my PS2.

Not only did I completely forget about the Wii and it's controller, but I had a more enjoyable time playing the PS2 game.

How the heck does one system have better gameplay than another system? Gameplay is dependent on the game, not on the console.

Probably would have been better to say that the Wii is capable of gameplay just as the 360/PS3 are capable of better graphics.

But that implies that the 360 and PS3 aren't capable of gameplay.

I hope you aren't implying that the Wii isn't capable of graphics? I'm sure he meant to say "better" gameplay. (Which of course, is subjective).

Nothing to do with the fact that you enjoy the MGS series more than the Zelda series?

FALSE, 360 Has better gameplay than wii, go and read reviews, Wii has barely an AAA game (a port dont count)
