I think that the Wii is the best console in the world and i want YOUto give the big reasons why it is.
I think that it is the fact that you can play old Nintendo games and the Shigeru games like Zelda and Mario kick ass.

Great 3rd party support
Multimedia is the best
Great Graphics
Friend Codes
whats not to love about this system
;)
No new IP's :?
1) I can play Manhunt 2 and actually feel like a strangler!
2) It's my new favorite toy (which I only play about twice a year since 90% of the games are **** )!

Thats how I feel about it also
Good one! :lol::lol::lol:
- 1st Party games obliterates MOST games on 360, PC& PS3
- The Wiimote litererally gives me a good work out
- 3rd party support are original and unique and most will get SERIOUSLY better for the hardcore crowd.
- There's already a good variety of 3rd party support that will never ever ever get old and are extremely fun, more fun than what' on 360, PC, or PS3
- Simple, ease of use Online Interface and FREE
- The Wiimote will undoubtedly be THE STANDARD as a controlling interface for future consoles.
- The Wiimote has PROVEN itself as the most accurate input device on the planet, proving itself in ALL GENRES.
- The Wii hardware has proven to be the cheapest, MOST efficient, yet most affordable hardware to develope for. Games like Cruisin, MoH Vanguard, Soul Calibur legends, GT Pro Racer are proof what the Wii is SERIOUSLY capable of.
- Wii is 10-15x more powerful than the Xbox, PS2and GC. Cruisin' is proof of that.
- Wii is simply the BEST HARDCORE gaming maching on the planet. Hence the astronomical sales and the Top Quality games, both 1st party and 3rd party.

You joke....right?
I can tell you why I like it: (Please note these are all just my opinion)
Virtual console has more classic titles that I like than XBLA (although I give it kudos for Psychonauts and the upcoming SFII remake).
I would much rather play Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, andmost other Nintendo franchises... than games like Bioshock, The Orange Box, Mass Effect, Gears of War, and Resistance. Overall, I prefer games that are more fun and artistic than they are "hardcore" and competitive. I also don't like the "soldier guy who shoots aliens" theme all the time--I like Halo and COD, but that's enough shooters for me.
I grew up on Nintendo and support them as long as they keep making great first-party games.

Well, what makes the Wii great is 1st party titles which are pretty nice. What's bad is the developers aren't even trying to make games of quality that can even compare to last generation. Obviously they could do better. Shame shame.

Actually the only things that are really opinion are;
Gimmicky controls, we won't really know for sure until someone has a chance to either copy or not go with the same scheme.
Old deflated IPs. Again, at this point just opinion but honestly you can only go so many places with an IP and Nintendo is pretty slow to adopt new talent.
Everything else you can look at and see as fact.

I see your point, but I wouldn't call Nintendo's IP's "deflated" considering that the latest Mario (SMG, NSMB), Zelda (TP, PH), and Metroid (MP3) games have been on average AAA games.

I don't get this post. Are you trying to be sarcastic? Cause if you are then you're failing pretty spectacularly. The gap between the best of what consoles have to offer (Uncharted/Gears of War/Call of Duty 4/Mass Effect) and Crysis is in every way smaller than lets say the gap between SMG and oh I don't know, anything short of Hour of Victory. Though you have to admit that game should have never seen the light of game stores.
Yeah, only having the second highest rated game of all time, the greatest game of all time (downloadable), free online service, positive third party future (monster hunter 3 and fatal frame 4 anyone?) intuitive controls which are ideal for FPS.
Whats the problem with the Wii again?
Oh yeah, fanboys.
Listen if you think the Wii is going to ruin gaming coz of the minigames.
If you think its too kiddy. (Manhunt 2, No More Heroes, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Fatal Frame 4)
Too simplistic. (Battalion Wars 2, Bully: Scholarship Edition, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Paper Mario, Zack & Wiki)
Or if you think it has bad online coz of friend codes (Mario Strikers Charged, Medal of Honor Heroes, NBA Live 08, Madden 08, Fifa 08, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Guitar Hero 3 all games either have optional use of Friend codes or none at all)
If you think it has bad graphics (since when did raw horsepower decide whether a game is good, starcraft is still almost as popular as Gears of War so if not more)
Best First Party Games (Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Disaster Day of Crisis, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Or that it'll never have hardcore RPGs (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Beares, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: the young king and the promised land, Final Fantasy Chocobo RPG, Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Terror, Tales of Symphonia 2, Okami, Super Paper Mario, Barqoue)
Not enough good sims games (Sims 2 Pets, Spore, Animal Crossing Wii, Endless Ocean, MySims, Harvest Moon)
or a good downloadable game service (Ocarina of Time, Super Metroid, Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sin & Punishment, Star Fox 64, Dr. Mario, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land)
if you think all of that sucks

On what basis are you judging me inferior? While we are at it what exactly am I inferior to? Lastly what does my hypocrisy and subsequent inferiority have to do with the fact that the specs on the Wii are worse than those ofthePS3 and Xbox 360 (not opinion or satire but an actual cold hard fact)?

Omg, by calling you inferior im stating you are the 360/ps3. Thereby making you inferior to pc's, if they weren't we'd see crysis and farcry on the 360, right?
You sir boggle the mind.
The 360, a two year old system, can in fact not run a game that was made using the latest and greatest hardware. Not because the 360 was made so that you could save your allowance for a few months and get one with your birthday money (ala the Wii) but because hardware advances at a fairly rapid rate. Now this is a good post. So good that no one has even tried to argue with him directly.
Oh oh let me try!
I... jeez this is gonna be tricky. To start, after that fist bit at the top it all becomes opinion but lets see if it can't be worked with anyway.
The minigame comment:
Other consoles' developers are producingentire cohesivegames, the Wii mean while is getting "Wario Ware" and Wii Sports. I for one am not even going to label these media devices "games" how ever more of a "cell phone software collection" or "what you might play in one of those old $10 hand held things you bought in the toy section at Walmart in the early 90s.
The kiddy comment:
Actually those games you listed are in fact the "kiddy" versions of comparable titles found else were. Manhunt 2/Condemned, No More Heros/NGS-NG2-DMC4, Medal of Honor/Call of Duty 4, Fatal Frame/Um... Actually I am just going to reuse Condemned here to, deal with it
The simplistic comment:
I don't actually have to work to hard for this one as you just listed a bunch of mechanically watered down titles.
The online comment:
I admit I don't actually have a Wii, so all I can go on is a lot of he said she said but most of what they said isn't very good so far as the Wii's online service goes. Though I am sure if I googled it I could put something convincing up.
The graphics comment:
It in fact does have bad graphics. You can't say anything for this, Nintendo cheaped on the hardware and in a year or two it will just be that much more glaring. It isn't all about graphics but performance as well. It just doens't stack up.
The 1st party comment:
Yup Nintendo does have great 1st party development (no one is arguing that). It's to bad about the 3rd party support though...
The Hardcore RPG comment:
Anything with the word "chocobo" in the title is not a hardcore RPG, I am truely sorry to be the one to break this to you. And while the Wii does in fact have some cool RPGs they can't compare in scope to any of the other consoles' offerings.
The sims comment:
Sheesh, I think the Wii is in fact the only console to have "sims" games and I for one do not envy it.
The DLC commnet:
It... well yes you have DLC grats, so does everyone else. The 360 by the way lets you DL games from a variety of consoles, not just games from the Xbox.
I find most of those games are in fact not approachable to me at least. I wouldn't be caught dead playing 80% of the Wii's library. Not because they are simplistically designed or have bright colors (most of that is actually in the 20% I would play) but because most of it is just not that interesting to someone with an attention span that out paces one of those "mini-games".
[QUOTE="Marth6781"][QUOTE="donny666"]You sir boggle the mind.

I never blamed the PC for the fact that you can't upgrade consoles. I merely pointed out the fact that 360s and PS3s are performance wise behind PCs due to an inevitability, the fact that hardware gets updated yearly. Were as the Wii is behind 360s and PS3s by design.
I really for the life of me can't figure out how to say that any clearer.

Agreed. I'm a PC gamer and i just laugh at stupid 360/ps3 fanboys bashing graphics on the wii when their consoles are inferior compared to high end PCs. Besides, RTSs, FPSs and WRPGs belong to PCs. I love the wii because it's very unique and innovative. I've been a PC only gamer for 10 years and only the wii console appealed to me this gen. The only games i want from other platforms are MGS4 and FF XIII and nothing else. Multiplatforms such as CoD4 is better on PC. Can the traditional controller really be compared to the mouse/keyboard? i think not. the wii mote provided me the best console controls for FPSs with MP3.

Ack jeez, are you kidding me?!
I am in no way trying to act superior when I state the fact that the PS3 and 360 out perform the Wii, it is just the way it is. I personally see Nintendo's choice to make a cheaper more available console as opposed to a more "beefy" expensive model to be a mistake. Why? Because it limits development potential. It isn't a game machine anymore. It is a Nintendo machine. I for one am not down.
[QUOTE="Gh0st_Of_0nyx"]The wii rules because its has the variety of the ps3 and dosent explode like the 360
Uptown
so giving out tons of heat and being energy inefficient is a good thing now?
[QUOTE="Marth6781"][QUOTE="donny666"]I never blamed the PC for the fact that you can't upgrade consoles. I merely pointed out the fact that 360s and PS3s are performance wise behind PCs due to an inevitability, the fact that hardware gets updated yearly. Were as the Wii is behind 360s and PS3s by design.
I really for the life of me can't figure out how to say that any clearer.

And once again im saying we CANNOT help it, but rather you should'nt act so superior(ps3/360) fanboys when your "big brother"(pc) is lurking around.
Ack jeez, are you kidding me?!
