C'mon, it's no brainer which has more bang for your buck.Does not matter if it does not have the games the masses want. Last month NDP there were more Wii titles in the top 20 than the PS3 and 360 together same the month before.M8ingSeezun

Wii bashers?
You're like the 5th poster on this thread. Why are you SUDDENLY implying there are Wii bashers?
Nervous much?
Sheep are going to have to remove their 5 foot thick glasses off, and realize Wii is really overprice, it's downright disgusting and insulting.

suddenly? as if you haven't realised that system wars is largely populated by people who regularily bash the wii
it hasn't been overpriced according to basic economic principles (supply and demand ring a bell?)
try learning some basic economics before posting about sales and pricing
it helps make it seem like you at least know what you are talking about.
You are gonna pull that supply and demand crap? Please, get back from reality. You are ONLY bringing that point up because Casuals who are demanding the Wii, in reality, DON'T KNOW BETTER ;) There goes your precious supply and demand principles  Those casuals who are demanding the Wii NOW, are pretty much, getting SUCKERED.
Try getting your head out of cloud 9, and realize, if you KNOW BETTER, it's severely overprice. Many of us see it. Why can't you?
I mean it's NO BRAINER......$249 360 or $299 PS3 slim vs a decade old based technology hardware @ $249?
C'mon, it's no brainer which has more bang for your buck.
so the system with the top 5 or so top selling games this generation selling for 250 is over priced. then a system with few to none of the top 20 selling games for 300 is a bargain? am i missing some thing here? a system that plays games and has most of the top sellers this generation should be selling for less then a system with none of the top sellers this generation? and even when it is selling for less it is still a suckers deal? if the wii were a suckers deal that would have been the word of mouth and that would have killed the wii 2+ years ago. get your fanboy head out of the clouds.[QUOTE="Kahuna_1"]It always was overpriced tho for the hardware its using, it's not just now.It is overpriced right now. Once they price cut it, it will continue to sell strong.
Tykain
They just need to put it back down to a price people are comfortable paying for it, whether it's overpriced or not. A 50$ price cut before the holidays would probably spark a ton more sales.

Except they are getting exactly what they want, enjoying the product, and spreading the words, while all the while paying $249.99. They aren't getting sucked if they know what kind of games, graphics, etc they are getting. Those that feel they got sucked when purchasing the Wii are just disappointed, and regretting their choice. Those that feel sucked and post on SW that they want to sell their wii can only blame themselves for not doing their research.
Just because others out there made different choices, and are enjoying it, doesn't mean they are wrong and you are right, or Nintendo is brainwashing the masses. We're all brainwashed into buying these games at high prices. :)

nintendo has to make more money then xbox's/sony's game division because they obviously don't have any other business besides video games. sony can, for a time, let SCE lose money for a time in order to gain market share (same for MS). Nintendo has to consistently be profitable because they aren't diversified.
R&D costs are always difficult to overcome. its not like the only costs Nintendo has to worry about are manufacturing costs.
value is in the eye of the beholder. you might consider the majority of the beholders crazy, but the fact remains that people are willing to buy it at $250.
