Wii sales slowing down...?

This may not be the same for everywhere else but where I work the sales of Wii's tend to be slowing down...alot. My store about a week ago recieved 28 wii systems and we have yet to sell more then 3 of them. We went from being asked every 12 minutes if we had a Wii to next month no one wanting the damn thing.

So I'm just wondering if the same goes for elsewhere has everyone finally got there wii's? Cause that seems the case in my city. I'll try and get a picture to show you guys I head of to work in 10 so if I can sneak a picture of them I will, chances are my boss would not like it tho.

Store tracking services still say the Wii only has National Availability rating of 11%. 89% of the country has no access to Wii in stores.

Same tracking service puts the 360 at 80% and the PS3 at 96% availability.

I work at a the biggest Wal Mart in the country we get 2000 Wii's every week and we sell them all out on the first day! The Wii is still going strong in sales!nadirb1

I gotta call out that tracking company for being complete BS then. In every single store that sells videogames there are 360s. period.

Some retailers also might be getting more consoles then they need. And I highly doubt the TC is telling the truth, no Wal Mart gets 28 Wii's, thats not possible as no store gets more then 25 at the most per week. My local EB Games gets no more then 8 Wii's every week still and its been like that since Christmas time. So either one store is whoring all the units, or Nintendo is still supply constrained, the TC is most likely making up crap. Any store that has 28 units available would be getting calls from all over asking to send some units over to sell them (Wal Marts sometimes do this if there are a few within a certain number of miles).

I wouldn't be spurised if Sales slowed down, especially in the summer, where everything slumps.

With that said, I still need to find a Wii for my cousin, but hey if this is true, it will help me. I have a cousin in North CA who lives in a small town, where they only electronic store is like a 2 hour drive, and has very little systems/games.

Pink and Blue are supposed to come out this year and blacks rumored as well. if it happens sales will definetly pick up and I imagine current owners may swap in their old console towards a black one.

Well, I live in one of the most populous areas in the US and the Wii is becoming more available in this area.
It's gone from completely impossible to just rediculously hard-to-find.

Dude...EXPLODE. Colored Wii's would be the new "tiny dog" in the eyes of most upper class girls.

I've been trying to get one since launch and STILL can't because they sell out within hours of hitting the shelves. If a store puts new Wiis on the shelf for opening,you can bet they're all gone by noon of that day.

If you want to know if demand has gone down or not, you have to compare the number of units moved every week/month as opposed to how many units you have sitting on the shelves.

So ya this is the electronics department I work in...we have tons of PSP's... the Wii display boxes are in the top right.

And yes here Wii's Don't ask me why we got 28 and not 25 my store has always got oddball system numbers. We got a new shipment of PS3's and I checked my logs we didn't sell as many as I thought but we still sell them.

Total system counts in my store

Wii:26 *sold 2 today*

PS3:11 Got a few in shipment.

Xbox360:8 last shipment of new systems was a month ago.

I'm sorry, but as much as i hate the wii, that sounds like total bull****. The wii is out of stok practically everywere. Although, if its not bull, please inform me, and prove the hypothesis of wiis faddishness.

Well sadly enough for me if you don't believe me I don't care you can think I'm BSing or whatever I'm just letting people know where I live at least the wii just isn't as popular.

Heck I'm not anti Wii I own one myself bought it on release day preordered it long before it came out. My store was hounded for months after the release and then the stops just stoped coming as much.
