[QUOTE="geist117"]Wii's going to pass 360 soon, then 360 might jump back in the lead after Halo 3 and GTA 4 hits this holiday season. If M$ had any sense they'd cut the 360 $100 dollars so it can still compete with the Wii while obliterating the PS3 while possibly forcing Nintendo to make a price cut on the Wii so even more people can buy it. blackpretttyboyimo every one that wants halo already has a 360 . now gta will sell systems , probly make alot of sonyfans get a 360 . if ms was to drop the price wii and ps3 will be in big trouble . Its already been confirmed that about half of X360 owners didn't own Xbox. Now if you consider Halo 2's about 8 million sales on original Xbox (so we're not counting copies picked up after X360s release), that means that there are at least 3 million additional people who had Halo 2 on Xbox that will likely want Halo 3 (and do not own an X360 yet).

That's assuming that people who played the disasterpiece known as Halo 2 will actually WANT to play the sequel.

Mass Effect and Bioshock might end up being great games.
But you're kidding yourself if you think either will move consoles on a large scale.
KOTOR didn't do that for Xbox, and it was a much more accessible property and game than either of those two relatively niche titles.

I'm surprised that the Wii has kept selling so well for this long. It may overtake the 360 at some point but I think that once more heavy hitter 360 titles come out and the price comes down, the 360 sales will pick up. The Wii will keep selling well for a while with Super Mario Galaxy and SSBB on the way. After that, I feel that the 360 will beat it in the end and maybe even the PS3 eventually.
I think the big question is when they'll have the price cut for the 360. MS is announcing the Elite and a higher price for this SKU. There doesn't seem to be a price drop in sight anytime soon.I'm surprised that the Wii has kept selling so well for this long. That makes no sense at all. Some people keep saying this as if the Wii itself won't have any heavy hitters or won't keep having games announced and release. It will, just that they haven't been announced yet. Remember developers jump onboard late in the game and only been announcing new titles lately. There are a lot of titles, based on developer support (IGN has a listing of titles from different developers), that simply haven't even been named by companies (some are just listed as RPG (Wii), Sports Game (Wii), etc. It's not like companies announce what they are going to release two and three years from now anyway.I'm surprised that the Wii has kept selling so well for this long. I know what you mean but to be honest I just don't think the Wii is all that great. I believe it's selling really well because of the excitement over the novelty and loyal Nintendo fans picking it up. Once all of the big Nintendo franchises are released, I don't believe it will get games as good as some of the games the other consoles will be capable of, and they won't have the same effect. So for this reason I don't believe it can ultimately win. But that's mainly based on my opinion of the Wii, and in the past the best consoles tend to have won. I could be wrong though and it could sell the most anyway.
Edit: actually I just remembered there's a lightsaber game coming out I think. That would be a lot of fun. I feel like playing Wii Tennis again. I've changed my mind. I'm going to unpack my Wii again. It feels kind of sad when I pack it up and put it away. I swear I'll leave it out this time. It's taken me a while to come to terms with the Wii, what it is and what I want out of it. It can't fully offer the kinds of experiences you can get on the 360 and PS3, but it does give a unique experience in pure fun with some games.
