Ever play both the GC and Wii versions of TP? The Wii contols are infinitely better when using a bow, slingshot, or gale boomerang.

I  when I think how poorly Trauma Center would control on a 360 controller. Creating Miis would suck using the 360 controller (not saying that lemmings even want to make Miis. I'm just saying that if the option were available, it would be a PAIN IN THE BUTT to make them using the 360 controller).

So, why do so many games control so poorly on Wii? I blame the devs...always have. It REALLY IS THE DEVS FAULT. It is not because of some sort of "limitation" the Wii has. Devs have just been lazy. They are out to make a quick buck. Many games were rushed and therefore ended up with shoddy controls. Why do you think the graphics look even worse than PS2 games most of the time? Because of rushing and not trying hard enough.

Sure, Wii has limitations in graphics and physics, but it does not have limitations for controls. RE4 is a prime example of a game that isBETTER with Wii controls than other controllers. MP3 will be the next to show off the controller. Mario Galaxy will do this as well.

Now, it has been said that Wii can never have good controls for fighter and/or racer. I think it can. I just don't think devs necessarily know how to approach it the right way yet.

The potential is there. The controller is just so unique and different, that it will take time to learn all the ins and outs.

BTW...Here's a genre that would work infinitely better on a Wii controller than Xbox 360 and PS3...Real time strategy. Let's say a RTS game has 20 different icons to use for commands.10 icons take up the bottom part of the TV screen while the other 10 take up the top. You have a choice of 360, PS3, or Wii controller to execute commands. Which would you choose?

ok lets say i want to play a game like World of Warcraft, lets not bring in consoles, just games and controls, what would be the best choice for something like that? a keyboard or a wiimote? fthe wiimote wouldnt have enough buttons for that type of game in the first place.

The point is that there really isnt a better control, it all depends on the type of game that your playing.

the wii's controler is awesome. Tramacenter is freaking awesome and would have sucked with any traditional controlers. and like you said TP is great too. but I would still rather play a fighting game with a tadition contoler. Its the pointer as much as the motion sensing that makes the wii's controler so great.

The wii mote is not yet utilised to its full potential so people cant really say analog is better than wii mote and vice versa.

And i could "prefer" to eat grass rather than eat nutritious and delicious food. ..... but does that make grass better suited for feeding a human than the option of eating something nutritious and delicious?

of course not. So while you may prefer the analog stick when using those weapons in zelda i think its obvious that the more efficient, engaging and entertaining way of controlling those weapons is through the use of Wii's motion controls.

So because you think TP is better on Wii, which is a Nintendo game, makes the Wii Remote the best controller? Talk about single minded, you're criticizing controllers about how they couldn't adapt to Wii games, when Wii specific games are meant for that controller, you just lowered yourselfin my eyes, you've been demoted to 'Sissy Boy'.

Nutrition is objective, preference in controls is subjective. That's a terrible analogy.

I hated hated hated aiming with the analog stick in LoZ:WW. It was simply the worst part of the controls in zelda. I can't imagine anyone perfering that method over a pointer. It's not a matter of opinon, control stick aiming is simply slower and inferior compared to pointer aiming.

Another surprising genre that the wiimote has done well with is sandbox games. Godfather and Scarface have some great controls. Sandbox games have definitely been more fun and a definite improvement.

Actually, grass is just a general term used to describe a myriad of different plants. A lot of grass type plants are used in cereal and are actually a strong source of nutrition. Horaay for random knowledge from vandal!!!! However, preference in a controller is mere subjective experience. Some may find it more efficient, engaing, and fun on a standard cotnroller. You can't, however, deny the nutritional value of "grass". :o

Well sixaxis does have the accelerometors, and you don't need the pointer for Excite Truck...so I don't see why it couldn't be done on the PS3.

no pointer in excite truck..
plus id rather have THiS GEN graphics than a dumb pointer.

everybody doesnt get the same enjoyment from the wiimote.  just like people dont learn the same.. some visual, audio. etc

some people prefer visuals, some people prefer touch.

therefore wii sucks in my opinion

Yes it will. When objects and mobs that are coming at you you can point at them and it freezes them in place. Then you can litterally run circles around them as long as you can keep the pointer on them. That sounds unbeliveably cool

It "could" but no one would bother as most devs can't make profit off a PS3 game.

[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"][QUOTE="laughingman42"][QUOTE="springz300"]i played excite truck on wii..

nothing ps3 couldnt do with six axis WITH BETTER graphics, physics, online.laughingman42
does the sixaxis have an acceleromitor two motion sensing peices and most importantly a pointer?

Well sixaxis does have the accelerometors, and you don't need the pointer for Excite Truck...so I don't see why it couldn't be done on the PS3.

but thats just one game what I was saying is there is alot more to teh wiimote than just tilt.

It seemed like he was only talking about excite truck.

And the pointer is the only thing that seperates the sixaxis fro mthe Wii-mote, aside from the speaker.

It "could" but no one would bother as most devs can't make profit off a PS3 game.

Of course they can....

Ever play both the GC and Wii versions of TP? The Wii contols are infinitely better when using a bow, slingshot, or gale boomerang.

I preferred the analog stick, personally.

Blasphemy :o

It's because I have magic fingers. 8)

you forgot rumble. :P but I think that the pointer is just as importanat as motion sensing for the wiis controler. and there is the second mtion sensing imput frmo the nunchuck.

and the nunchuck. Having each hand seperate is really important for most games.

I agree, the pointer is at least as important as the motion controls.

MaTT2011

Actually the human body cannot break down grass. It's a complex molecule and the human stomach can't digest it. The only reason that cows can is because they have a parasite in their stomach that is able to digest it. If a human ate grass all day long they would be dead of starvation in a few days. So I guess that makes that analogy a bit off then doesn't it?

Depends what you mean by "grass". "Grass" isn't a plant. Its a vague classification for a wide variety of plants, which some serve as a good nutritional source. Some are even used in cereal! But I digress. Nutrition is fact, preference of controller is opinion.

[QUOTE="ganon42"]I would have prefered a console with superior graphicsa then a console with an "amazing controller"._en1gma_

i actually like not getting cramps in my hands, though.

I've played it for 3 hours at a time... multiple times a week and haven't had cramps... Maybe im just in better shape...

I've never had that issue either and I've played hours of SSBM at a time, which seems like if any game could give you hand cramps that would be the one.
